Job Description

Position Description: Compressed Air Service Technician

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintain a variety of systems for customers. You will work on rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors, compressed air system components, and refrigerator dryers. You will use precision measuring tools to diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform all maintenance on these systems. You will be expected to assist in equipment start-ups, commissioning, installation, repair (routine and emergency), and customer education of their system. You will work closely with your customers on a regular basis to ensure they understand the full capabilities of their system and the benefits you provide them. You will be working at different customer locations on a daily basis. You will be expected to present IAC in a positive manner at all times and recommend possible solutions to any customer needs that you are not providing at the time.

Position Details:

Salary: $20 - $25 / hr depending on experience + Overtime + Quarterly after market bonus = realistic first year W2 $60K - $75K and up

Location: Multiple Locations

Travel Requirements: You will travel around your region to meet customers on a daily basis but will be home most nights. Only expected time you will be away for a night is while you are being trained.

Job Description

Magna Maintenance Technicians primarily troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical production systems and equipment. In general, you will troubleshoot, diagnose and repair all mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and facility systems to ensure smooth operation, production and safe working conditions. In this role you will install, repair, erect, dismantle, assemble and maintain all types of plant machinery, equipment, structures, and mechanical equipment and component parts, and use other maintenance-related skills as needed. Essential duties include:
• Use blueprints and schematics, and print specifications to wire new or used equipment, install components and construct control panels
• Install conduit raceway systems, electrical conductors, power distribution bus and bus plugs, power drops, and repair machinery to satisfy all specifications, manufacturer’s requirements, and all applicable codes.
• Repair equipment using a range of diagnostic tools
• Collect input from operators, techs, and supervisors, to troubleshoot and evaluate the work order
• Machine start-ups: Assist in all initial start-up of machinery, test all functions, safety devices, and verify that machine performs properly
• Obtain work order and necessary parts and tools to complete repair and/or work order
• Build continuous improvement into the daily process
• Participate and implement process improvement suggestions

These positions are ideal for current transitioning and former military machinist mates or industrial mechanics that possess outstanding mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities. Candidates should have experience maintaining and programming PLCs and experience with Robotics is very strongly desired. Candidates must have current knowledge, demonstrated technical training and experience, and outstanding ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics, troubleshoot, update, and work on mechanical equipment and systems, with heavy emphasis in hands-on troubleshooting and repair. Candidates should have a history of success including work performance, schooling, promotion paths, and ability to excel against your peers, including ability to share skills to help others develop, excellent communication skills, and commitment to providing a high level of detail, pride, and safety towards mechanical system and equipment maintenance work, projects, and programs.
