The Technical Service Development Program offers the opportunity to receive exposure to a variety of different functions, production processes, work streams, teams, and leaders while learning the core knowledge and responsibilities of a successful Technical Services Representative. It is a tremendous, high visibility, Corporate-sponsored position created to groom a Technical Service Representative into a future leader in the company. It is a 9- to 12-month program designed to make you a fully autonomous Technical Service Rep who manages an entire territory upon completion of the program.

You will spend your initial three months of training in Oshkosh, WI during which you will:
• Receive technical training on company equipment, computer systems and operations.
• Go on Client Visits and technical service calls with other Service Reps to better learn the business.
• Participate in company networking events and activities.

In Phase II of the program, you will spend up to nine months with a mentor, likely in the territory into which you will permanently work. During this phase, you will get much more on-the-job training on the technical and customer service aspects of the role (such as packaging equipment installations and trials, contract maintenance and equipment adjustments, etc), as well as get training on managing business as a remote employee.

Upon completion of Phase II of the Program, you will be a full Technical Service Rep, and assigned responsibility of clients in your territory (typically 5 to 6 states in size). You will be responsible for scheduling your work and providing on-site technical support as required to clients throughout your territory. By this point, you will be able to provide efficient and timely technical assistance to assigned customers in matters relating to their packaging equipment operations and to facilitate customer quality and packaging performance improvement. Some specific responsibilities will include:
• Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities.
• Service customer equipment, where applicable, to maintain optimum performance of equipment, packaging films and shrink bag materials.
• Perform and complete package/shrink bag and machine audits on packaging machines.
• Participate in field trials of new packaging materials.
• Assist in the installation and start-up of all packaging equipment.
• Provide input, as requested, into the design, installation and start-up of packaging equipment manufactured by outside suppliers or RE&D.

Virtual interviews for the Technical Service Development Program will be held on May 15.

Position Details
Location: You will start and likely remain in the Oshkosh, WI area (even during Phase II of the program), as that is where they anticipate home-basing their next Technical Service Representative.
Salary: Target base salary ~$55K-$65K plus quarterly incentive plan (5% of base salary)
Travel: You will work from home and can expect to travel up to 3 or 4 overnights per week in support of clients in your territory. Weekend travel is not common, but may be required on occasion.
