Pay: $31/hr.-$39/hr. starting base rate, depending on experience + $0.75/hr. shift premium for 2nd shift + O/T + $2K sign-on bonus (quarter paid out at 30-days & 60-days, remainder paid out at 6-month mark of employment).

Position Description: Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production systems and equipment. In general technicians will troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair various mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems within the facility to insure smooth operation, production, and safe working conditions. Essential duties:
• Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical and controls components, finding resolutions to issues in a safe and timely manner.
• Disassembles and assembles production equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Designs and fabricates new equipment to meet production needs.
• Makes necessary adjustments to functional parts of devices and control instruments per production requirements.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment based on schedule or immediate needs.
• Creates and enters work orders for necessary repairs. Allocates and documents hours worked on applicable work orders.
• Welds, performs sheet metal work, and employs intermediate shop floor skills (lathe, drill, grinder, other metalworking.
• Installs, move, and relocate machinery/equipment according to blueprints and other drawings.

Requirements: Candidate must be well-rounded technicians with electrical and mechanical skills and be able to wire/re-wire motors with basic ladder-logic electrical troubleshooting and have knowledge of troubleshooting bearings, belts, sheaves, sprockets, chains, and gear reducers and proper alignment of these drive devices. Candidates must have great aptitude for training on specific production systems equipment and have some experience in inspection of equipment to make recommendations on proper level of replacements, spare parts, lock-out tag-out, and guarding for safe operation of systems and equipment. Candidates should be able to ready and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals with good communication and problem-solving skills.

Position Description: Field Service Technician

In this position, you will plan, prioritize, coordinate, and handle all phases of the maintenance activities ofr locomotives.
