The Field Services Control Technician will be responsible for wiring, firing, and testing boilers in the field and the readiness of the customer equipment. Key responsibilities include:
• Knowledgeable of PLC’s, transformers, transmitters, and other boiler controls.
• Wire all controls and motors for water tube and firetube boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Rebuild control valves and regulators.
• Build and test control panel, fuel skids, condensate tanks and deaerators using wiring schematic and layout.
• Trim out firetube and water tube boilers.
• Perform start-up of rental boilers in field.
• Read blueprints and wiring schematics.
• Troubleshoot, fire, & set combustion on boilers, including super heaters, superheaters, and economizers.
• Determine valve trim, regulator size & spring, oil gun length & size, & parts needed to fire any boiler.
• Fire and set combustion on boiler with all types of pneumatic, electrical controls.

Position Details:

Requirements: Candidates must have at least 6 years of boiler, steam, or similar power/utility experience on the electrical and control systems with a good foundation in electronics and controls, schematics, voltmeters, sensors, and instrumentation who are critical thinkers and outstanding complex problem-solvers, have good operation and control experience. Candidates should have excellent understanding of combustion, troubleshoot interlocks, read & wire based off schematic, troubleshoot in absence of schematics, with experience doing planned boiler maintenance. Position Title: Project Engineer

Compensation and Benefits: Base salary is competitive and dependent on your experience, background, and your interview (First year total compensation will be approx. $90,000+).
