• Work with sales, estimating, scheduling, and accounting departments to meet the criteria described on project scheduling forms.
• Evaluate offers for materials and sub-suppliers with the Operations Manager, Install Manager, and Purchasing department based on costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
• Work with and direct workflow through Construction Managers, Superintendents, and Forman.
• Manage and mitigate risk on site to ensure all sites are safe and that personnel is adhering to the safety rules and regulations at each site.
• Lead meetings for the operational and technological aspects of each project based on agreed timelines, specifications, and work plans.
• Keep accurate and detailed records of work hours and expenses for each project.
• Prepare and deliver daily/weekly reports as needed to the Install and/or Operations Manager.
• Attend all site meetings and conference calls.
• Work with the Equipment Coordinator for ordering and canceling equipment.
• Schedule deliveries with all appropriate parties.
• Work with the Safety Director, to ensure safety training, is up to date and ongoing and all safety-related issues are reported and documented immediately.
• Verify operator certifications are current in the area such as forklift and crane operation.
• Communicate with employees regarding travel information after completing a project and moving on to a new project.
• Evaluate employee’s performance and report to the Install Manager as it pertains to the project.
• Communicate extensively with shop supervisors to establish a cordial and effective working relationship.
• Report project progress and communicate relevant information to superiors.
• Track project deliveries using project tools.

Shift Schedule: 24 hour operation and this is going to be shift work – working a compressed work week schedule of 3 days on / 4 days off – 4 days on – 3 days off, and you can expect to stay on the same shift schedule for at least 6 months (so this is a non rotating shift). Position Description: Equipment Engineer

Equipment Engineers are integral members of Wafer Fab operations in that they run their Dry Plasma Etch, PVD/Evap and Implant Equipment that deliver high quality, efficient manufacturing and advanced technologies that produce innovative RF products and solutions to industry-leading wireless device and network customers.

Responsibilities – Relying on strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and process improvement skills, you will:
• Serve as the equipment tool owner in either dry plasma etch, metal deposition (PVD and Evaporators), or Implant Identify problems and provide solutions for equipment development and maturity on assigned tools
• Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
• Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for the equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process
• Interface with vendors and contractors for the new tool installation, upgrades, and qualification
• Maintain current records on equipment manufactures’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues
• Define and write preventative maintenance schedules
• Training and support Maintenance Technician



Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• 4+ years technical experience working as an engineer desired
• Strong technical capacity, including knowledge of pneumatics, robotics, electronics, etc.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles, practices, and techniques as they relate to equipment engineering and maintenance is a plus!
• Experience with CAD software strongly preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across functions
• Strong time management skills to enable on-time completion
• Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to work off-hours as needed


Position Details:
