Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on industrial and facility equipment

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

• Military veteran with a strong electrical background (Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines)

• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Hands-on experience with electrical testing tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.)
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices, including lockout/tagout
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience:

• Experience with switchgear, transformers, breakers, or motor control centers (MCCs)

Job Description

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing service, repair, and troubleshooting work in a safe, efficient, and customer-focused manner. This role includes accurately tracking productive labor time versus travel time, performing preventive maintenance in accordance with established service programs, and maintaining detailed service documentation such as work orders and parts usage. You will stay current on equipment updates and ANSI A156.10 standards while ensuring technical manuals, company vehicles, tools, and equipment are properly maintained. • Calibrate IM&TE equipment in one or more disciplines including:
  Acoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, DC/Low Frequency, RF/Microwave, Fluid, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamics, and Time & Frequency

• Provide technical service support on existing installations ensuring systems continue to meet existing building occupancy codes and efficient operation requirements.
• Programming and commissioning of Control Systems and Integration with other systems related to building automation.
• Be well-versed in multiple controls systems as they may be on a different site each day based on the service calls that come in on a daily basis.
• Communicate directly with the customer in order to satisfy the needs regarding the specifics of what is required to solve the issue on a particular site.
• Document the services performed on a service call on a FSR (Field Service Report) with details of what the service call consisted of and to document if the call is complete or will require a follow up visit.
• Replace failed parts, controllers, wire, relays, and devices as required.
• Maintain a good disposition with the customers and deal with them in a courteous manner at all times.
• Verify devices, panels, and annunciators of controls projects.
• Ensure timely software backups are created for projects and software development.
• Complete time sheets, service work orders, and other paperwork required for this position in an accurate and timely manner.
