Forming Team Member (Press Brake Operator)

Location: Cleveland, OH

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: Multiple shifts available

Pay Range: $22.00 - $28.00/hour, based on experience

AT&F is seeking skilled and motivated Forming Team Members to support the fabrication of large, complex steel components used in defense, energy, heavy industrial, and shipbuilding applications. This role plays a critical part in forming and shaping metal components that support some of the nation's most important infrastructure and defense initiatives, including submarine manufacturing.

What You'll Do

• Operate press brake and forming equipment to shape steel components for heavy industrial, energy, and defense applications
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Perform dimensional inspections and verify quality requirements
• Operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment safely
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Complete operator-level preventive maintenance on equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams as needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Must-Have Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience operating press brakes, forming equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic shop math
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in heavy manufacturing, metal fabrication, or shipbuilding environments
• Overhead crane and tow motor experience
• Experience working with large steel fabrications
• Prior experience supporting defense or industrial manufacturing programs

Additional Details

• Schedule:
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
  • Weekend 1st Shift: Friday - Sunday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Team members are paid for 40 hours while working a 36-hour schedule
• Salary Range: $22.00 - $28.00/hour
• Travel: None expected

Job Description

• Experience with CNC machining, including CNC lathe or mill operation
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
• Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls

• Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes and mills

Job Overview:

• Support day-to-day electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial and facility electrical systems. This role is ideal for military veterans with hands-on electrical experience who are looking to transition into a stable civilian position.
• The ideal candidate has a strong safety mindset, can troubleshoot electrical issues independently, and is comfortable working in an industrial or plant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on industrial and facility equipment
• Work with electrical panels, power distribution systems, motors, and control circuits
• Inspect, test, and maintain electrical components to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Troubleshoot electrical faults using meters, schematics, and technical documentation
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per established procedures
• Document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and electrical safety standards
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to support daily operations

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

• Military veteran with a strong electrical background (Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines)
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems in industrial, plant, shipboard, or facility environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Hands-on experience with electrical testing tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.)
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices, including lockout/tagout
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience:

• Experience with switchgear, transformers, breakers, or motor control centers (MCCs)

Job Description

• Calibrate IM&TE equipment in one or more disciplines including:
  Acoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, DC/Low Frequency, RF/Microwave, Fluid, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamics, and Time & Frequency
• Maintain secondary and working calibration standards
• Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of precision equipment
• Collect, measure, analyze, summarize, and record calibration data
• Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective actions

Job Description

Engage and participate in the business, management, and technical direction of the Service Center.Work as part of management structure, providing general supervision for Field Engineers and Technicians and schedule workflow. Serve as customer contact and liaison. Keep track of job progressand financial details.

• Responsible for the sales, profit, and quality of the area operation.
• Review and sign contracts consistent with Limits of Authority.
• Work with the Region Director, Regional Sales Manager and Marketing Services to promote new business.

Job Description

• Provide technical service support on existing installations ensuring systems continue to meet existing building occupancy codes and efficient operation requirements.
• Programming and commissioning of Control Systems and Integration with other systems related to building automation.
• Be well-versed in multiple controls systems as they may be on a different site each day based on the service calls that come in on a daily basis.
• Communicate directly with the customer in order to satisfy the needs regarding the specifics of what is required to solve the issue on a particular site.
• Document the services performed on a service call on a FSR (Field Service Report) with details of what the service call consisted of and to document if the call is complete or will require a follow up visit.
• Replace failed parts, controllers, wire, relays, and devices as required.
• Maintain a good disposition with the customers and deal with them in a courteous manner at all times.
• Verify devices, panels, and annunciators of controls projects.
• Ensure timely software backups are created for projects and software development.
• Complete time sheets, service work orders, and other paperwork required for this position in an accurate and timely manner.
