Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for a Sr. Data Center Service Technician position with a company that is focused on creating sustainable, climate neutral solutions for drive, propulsion, and power generation. Position Details Location: Columbus, OH Compensation: $33-40 per hour Shift: M-F 7-3:30 or 8-4:30 (Up to you) Travel: You will work onsite daily at the same Data Center facility Training: There will be approximately a year (fast track) of classroom and field training. Most training is in the USA but there is some in Germany. Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and so much more. Provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner onsite. Vaccine Requirement: None Position Description As a Sr. Data Center Service Technician, you will be performing preventative maintenance, start-ups, and repairs on generators, including automatic transfer switches, diesel, and gaseous engines. You will promote safe and efficient operation of duties. Heavy Maintenance at the facility is only once every three years so most days are PM, troubleshooting, and repairing Power Gen equipment with data center You will also commission and operate engines and genset systems. Position Requirements • Strong knowledge in the principles of physics, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and operation of internal combustion engines • Strong knowledge in the physical properties of fuels, coolants, lubricants, and oils • Technical Fit: 90% electrical, 10% mechanical. Navy Nuke EMs are best aligned for this position. | |
