Qualifications

Market Manager

Location: Toano, VA
Salary: $80K to $95K base + commission

relationship development, value determination through problem/need identification, quoting and account management. The person will be expected to be able to discuss commercial issues as well as some technical issues and solutions with engineering. In this highly visible position, you will be actively involved in regular management meetings to discuss customer issues and periodic executive strategic planning sessions. This position reports directly to the VP of Sales and Strategy.



Job Responsibilities include:

Identify potential customers and develop new business.
Assess potential markets and product niches to define profitable growth opportunities.
Interact with Executive Management in strategic planning sessions.
Face-to-face interaction with all levels of customer staff, from Design, Engineering and Purchasing to Executives.
Position requires 40% travel within the continental United States and Mexico (Company paid).


Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, science or other technical discipline.
1-2 years of sales or manufacturing experience is preferable.
Desire to solve problems working with customers and internal suppliers are essential.
Strong ability to negotiate deals from start to finish.
Excellent networking skills.
Project management skills; analytical and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities Include:
- Request, develop, and prepare required data and reports to be submitted to regulatory bodies and agencies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulatory standards and apply for licenses, when needed.
- Maintain required documentation and electronic document management systems.
- Collaborate with and train key staff from Operations/Production, Finance, and Sales departments.
- Ensure staff are aware of the legal standards that apply to their work.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



Vessel

Ensure docking and mooring process is completed
Ensure undocking of vessel is completed safely
Line handling both in docking and undocking (pull, cleat, order of lines thrown, unmooring)
Operate heavy equipment on vessel
Complete man overboard training, shifting vessels requirements
Receiving

Receive pellets into the port, record data to ensure accurate billing
WIL specific – operator shuttle wagon as directed
Ensure safety of scale area and that loads meet safety criteria
Keep scale and ramps clean and free of debris

Quality

Collect samples and test finished goods delivered by truck and/or rail
