Job Description

Company is currently seeking an Field Service Technician that will be based out of their headquarters.  They will work primarily at customer sites as well as support service teams and engineer teams to troubleshoot systemic issues identified by teams in the field.  The job involves installation, maintenance, and customer support for filling systems and other packaging machinery. The Technician will build and maintain positive work relationships with customer management and site personnel. 

Experience or equivalent knowledge of processing equipment (Food/Beverage experience a plus), PLC Controls and equipment instrumentation will be a major focus for this position.  Previous controls programming experience is needed.  Must be able to install, service, repair, test and troubleshoot industrial machinery (mechanically based). Some company tools will be provided, additional tools must be provided personally. Will need to read and provide applicable documentation, such as technical document, work reports, and records and communicate clearly and provide coherent reports to leadership as well as clients and sub-contractors (good oral and written communication skills). Should be proficient with Microsoft Office Products. Pay: $32-$36/hr based on experience (Overtime is time and a half)

• Must have a working knowledge of the diesel engine and an understanding of the theory and operations. Recognize the different sounds and smells of a diesel engine. Analyze temperatures and pressure. Must be physically fit and in a state of health that permits heavy lifting (75 pounds), stooping, climbing ladders, and working in adverse temperature conditions, adverse weather conditions, and high noise level environment. A valid Virginia license is required. Overtime and some overnight travel required. All requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
• Graduation from high school or (GED) and have three years related mechanical work experience or the equivalent Vocational Training/Military Service/other training that provides verifiable mechanical skills OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.
