• Provide guidance and technical assistance to Installation Engineers on installs at customer sites or on installing/dismantling demonstration machines.
• Conduct customer orientation and technical training on all aspects of equipment maintenance support for user applications.
• Expect to be cross-trained and assist other field service engineers as needed.
• Prepare reports on customer support activity and provide documentation to engineering, marketing, and sales for recurring problems. You will be required to make recommendations for improvements.
• Required to work under pressure and with stringent timelines, since failure of company equipment may shut down customer manufacturing area.

Position Requirements
• Proficiency in systems level repair of multiple and extremely complex products.
• Advanced electronics skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems in software and electronic systems.
• Strong knowledge of optics and lasers, computer theory, and applicable operating system knowledge.
• Strong mechanical and analytical skills.
• Looking for strong interpersonal/communication skills in understanding customers' needs.
• Must successfully complete ongoing technical training to acquire a thorough knowledge of company equipment, the application of diagnostic techniques, and practical application of service aids.
