Job Description

• Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers by diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, electronic, and application issues related to company products.
• Collaborate with the Technical Lead and colleagues to build a comprehensive product knowledge base and develop effective troubleshooting techniques.
• Prepare and distribute technical documentation to internal and external customers as required.
• Identify quality-related issues and assist with coordinating their resolution with company's international headquarters.
• Support the Controls Technician with programming electronic spare parts and develop solutions to unique challenges that impact parts shipping deadlines.
• Travel periodically for training sessions, machine acceptance testing, customer application assessments, and complex field service engagements at customer sites.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support the success of internal teams and external customers.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, & Education:

• Associate's degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of two years of related experience in  field service or manufacturing — or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on  experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and operational aspects of industrial machinery.
• Solid understanding of induction and servo motors, drives, and controllers.
• Basic knowledge of low-voltage switches, sensors, and transducers, as well as electro-pneumatics and vacuum principles.

A typical day includes diagnosing and resolving customer technical issues, performing equipment installations, repairing or troubleshooting out-of-service units, and proactively identifying ways to eliminate future operational or service challenges. Each customer site presents unique technical conditions, requiring adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and independent decision-making.

• Install and commission equipment at customer locations
• Investigate and resolve customer technical issues in the field
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electromechanical systems
• Perform component-level repairs and system diagnostics
• Interpret wiring diagrams and track electrical circuits
• Work with servos, motors, and control components
• Use multimeters and diagnostic tools to isolate faults

Job Description

• Train for 12-14 weeks for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)/National Board training/certification commissions.
• 120 hours of on-the-job training with another Inspector to complete training process.
• Perform new construction, repair, alteration and jurisdiction inspections of boilers and pressure vessels as required by the American Society of Mechanical Engineering Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (ASME Code) Sections III, and National Board Code including referenced construction codes and standards of our clients.

• High school diploma and equivalent (Military) work experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years of boiler and/or high-pressure steam & water system maintenance/operation experience
• 4+ years of mechanical experience with Boilers and Pressure Vessels in a power plant-Nuke or conventional MM/BT, or an SRO and/or a Steam PPWO/EOOW 3+ years
• Navy Nuke EM or ET with a minimum of 3yrs qualified SRO experience
• Quality Assurance inspections of mechanical equipment, water, and steam systems
• Boiler and/or steam system maintenance and operation
• Inspections on mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
• NBIC Boiler Inspector Qualification a plus
• Insurance inspection service experience involving risk-based inspections and analysis
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office and web-based applications, Lotus Notes
• Clean driving record and must be able to pass a background check.
