As a Service Technician, you will work at the designated customer location to support the installation, maintenance, and repair machinery. The machines you will service are primarily multi-axis, PLC operated robotics and meat processing equipment. Depending on the service agreement at each customer location, you may be responding to an emergency equipment repair to help a production line get back up and running, conducting planned preventative maintenance, installing an upgrade, or helping install a new machine. Each job and customer will be truly unique, keeping you on your toes.

Prior to being sent to your first duty station, you will spend 90 days conducting professionally led training on machines, ensuring you are well prepared to tackle any problem that arises at a customer site. Training will include in-house, field-rides, and potentially trips overseas to watch machines as they are being designed and built. You will develop world-class mechanical/electrical skills with high level experience working with top of the line robotics technology that is literally and figuratively the cutting edge of industry. What this means for you is that you will soon be in demand for any future roles that demand proficiency in the technical aspects of PLC and Robotics.

Once in the field, your normal battle rhythm will be to depart for customer sites on Thursday night. You will arrive to a customer site on Friday to assess the maintenance requirements and interface with the customer. You may start some preliminary work on Friday, but you will perform the bulk of your work on the machines on Saturday. Sunday you will ensure the maintenance is completed and the machinery back to fully-operational status. You will stay through Monday morning during startup to ensure there are no issues as the machines go back into production and depart for the office on Monday afternoon. You will work in the office on Tuesday, finishing up any paperwork for the job you just completed and preparing for your next job. You are off on Wednesday and Thursday and depart Thursday evening for the next customer site. Although this is the normal rhythm, you will have some weeks where you have additional days in the office or an additional day at a customer site, and you will have one extra weekend off per month.

Position Details:
Location: Technician will have ability to live near a Major Airport, ideally in the Midwest Region.

Schedule: Your normal schedule during the week is Thursday – Sunday/Monday. You will receive one weekend off per month as well. See position description above for more detailed description of work schedule.

You also earn pay while travelling and if flying, start earning hourly 2 hours before flight and 1 hour after flight.
