Position Details:
Title: ASME Authorized Inspector
Location: St. Louis, MO
Shift: Monday – Friday | 1st Shift
Compensation: $28/hour (pay increases to $35 - $40/hour after you obtain your National Board Commission)

Travel: You will typically travel to shops to perform inspections within 30-40 miles of St. Louis. However, you may be occasionally asked to perform inspections at a shop that is approximately 250 miles away.

Position Description:
As an Authorized Inspector you will be the company representative onsite to perform basic inspections of Boilers and Pressure Vessels manufactured by OneCIS clients to ensure compliance with ASME Codes, Standards, and Jurisdictional requirements.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Review fabrication drawings, manufacturing standards and witnesses testing of Boilers and Pressure Vessels.
• Document and monitor the Quality Control System through ASME review and verification process.
• Ensure compliance with applicable sections of the ASME Code, National Board Inspection Code and Jurisdictional requirements for fabrication and Repair and Alteration activities and authorized inspection services.
• Certify products based on ASME Code requirements or submits recommendations for corrective action to ensure compliance with Code and Jurisdictional requirements.
Prior to becoming an Authorized Inspector, you will need to complete a training period that includes attending a 3-week-long virtual American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)/National Board training/certification commissions school.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and equivalent experience as a Navy Nuke. You should also have 3-5 years of mechanical experience in the boiler and pressure vessel industry (power plant, either Nuke or conventional), such as design fabrication, operation, repair and alteration, inspection, and nondestructive examination, or quality control systems.
