Position Description: Parts Specialist

This position is responsible for assisting internal and external customers in purchasing necessary spare parts for their equipment via phone, fax, email and/or other written media while maintaining a high level of customer service and increasing spare parts sales. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Take spare parts orders from our customers by phone, email, fax and voicemail and send confirmations to customers and file copies. Request information from our factory as necessary to complete customer orders as quickly as possible. Make arrangements for parts shipments to the customers and service technicians. Follow up to ensure in-stock rush shipments are made the same business day.
Research part numbers via ERP system or fax to get complete part number, price and description.
Prepare machine spare parts quotes for our customers, sales team and technicians in a timely and accurate manor, and follows up close the sale
Routinely update the Parts Team’s technical documents with all updates from the factory. Placed all factory updates in the appropriate manuals within one week.
Travel as required to assist customers with spare parts related issues and fosters good customer service levels.
Actively participate in the training program for the new Parts Team members.
Assist customers with return merchandise/spare parts. A Return Order Number will be assigned at the time of call and all relative information will be entered into SAP. Additionally, the return will be noted in a manner to ensure that the returned goods are directed to the appropriate party upon arrival at our facility.

Position Description:



Assembler

Must be qualified to assemble models in proper parts sequence, following blueprints, hose charts, or oral instructions. Must have a working knowledge of Lincoln's sub-assemblies and small assemblies such as control valves, swivels, hydraulic couplers, injectors, air couplers, etc., and hand operated, pneumatic and electric equipment. Must be able to diagnose and correct malfunction in models. May assemble cabinets and must possess a working knowledge of it; work with jigs, tools and fixtures; work with and adjust air wrenches, hand tools, and stitching machines; able to test models per testing specification standards and pack models. Produce work meeting standard requirements in quality and quantity. Should contact supervisor or Department Leader in case discrepancies in parts, drawings, tools or fixtures. Suggest improvements where possible. Repair production and Lincoln test pumps used in the Assembly area. Must have ability to read assembly drawing, electrical diagrams, SPI's and be qualified to assemble models in proper parts sequence. Must be able to work from oral and written instructions. Must have reasonable knowledge of electricity and be able to handle electrical testing equipment provided.


Ability to read and use assembly parts blueprints, bills of material, micrometers, scales, snap gages and jigs. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Transactions for own work as required. Keep area clean and orderly.






Machine Operator

Extremely diversified work responsible for the setup and operation of a broad range of equipment including drill presses, millers, threading machines, Kingsbury’s, lathes, CNC controlled mini-mills and rotary transfer machines. Effectively diagnose and troubleshoot assigned equipment to safely perform within Company and customer’s expectations. Understand and practice proper tool dressing, speeds and feeds to meet maximum performance. Perform minor repairs and keep equipment in optimum operating condition. Perform a variety of operations within the group to maintain flow and quality of work. Knowledge of blueprints, layout sheets, tooling, and various inspection procedures and practices required. Inform Supervisor of any unusual difficulties that require attention.


Changeover, adjust and perform a broad range of operations on screw machines on a wide variety of parts, following standard procedures. Operate using blueprints, layout card and worksheets. Have knowledge of sharpening and repairing tools. Under Setup Person's instructions, maintain setups and produce quality and quantity work. Some knowledge of feeds and speeds required. Knowledge of micrometers, scales, gauges, and blueprint reading required. Keep machine, tools, attachments, and work area clean and orderly.
