Position Description:

These may include (depending on the specifics of the assigned facility): manure transfer pumps and piping, anaerobic digesters, water and nutrient recovery equipment, fiber separation and drying equipment, and other associated equipment.
Installation, maintenance, and operation of rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, valves, and motors)
Installation, maintenance, and operation of stationary equipment (e.g., tanks, piping, and buildings/structures)
Installation, maintenance, and operation of instrumentation, controls, and other low voltage applications
Conducts the full range of maintenance activities required at the assigned facility. These include (but are not limited to): all routine maintenance, non-routine maintenance, and repairs for stationary equipment such as buildings, tanks, and piping as well as for rotating equipment like valves with manual, electric, or pneumatic operators; submersible and long-axial mixers, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps and blowers.
Performs variety of process- and quality control related duties including collecting, analyzing, packaging, and shipping, documenting, and reporting samples of various gases, liquids, and solids.
Conduct elevated work and confined space entries.
Adheres to every safety policy and procedure. These will include procedures for: control of hazardous energy (Lock-out/Tag-out), incident reporting, spill response, fire response, confined space entry, hazardous atmosphere operations, hot work, safe electrical work, and others.
Comfortable with overtime hours as production needs dictate.

Requirements:

3+ years military experience in a mechanical discipline (experience with valves, pumps, and/or compressors is a huge plus!)

Basic computer literacy

Position Details:
• Title: Field Service Technician
• Location: Lake Zurich, IL (right outside of Chicago)
• Shift: M-F 9-5 with occasional weekends as needed
• Compensation: $50-$70k based on experience
• Benefits: comprehensive benefits available
• Travel: 70% (regular overnight travel during week, most weekends home)

Position Description: Field Service Technician
Provides technical services for CPI’s air pollution control equipment on-site and telephone support for customers. Travels to site, sets up, diagnosis and repairs equipment. Provides education to customer, interfaces with sales, engineering, project management, accounting, and administration. Will also solicit service to existing customer base, under assistance by Sales Manager.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in mechanical field.
• Mechanical and technical ability to complete work in efficient manner.
• Knowledge or ability to learn to read and understand AutoCAD drawings.
• Some working knowledge of PLC or the ability to gain PLC literacy.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, company systems, etc.
• Excellent communication skills to interface with customers and coworkers professionally.

Requirements:
• Work with the Project Manager and Engineering toward overall job fulfillment.
• Perform startup duties on newly installed systems.
• Provide on-site repairs, maintenance, etc. for systems requiring work in the field or over telephone.
• Assist Engineering/Drafting/Project Manager with AutoCAD drawings.
• Ability to push, pull lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis without assistance.
