Production Technician (Greenville, NC)

Position Description
As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for actively improving systems and equipment reliability, reducing system and equipment downtime and supporting operation of assigned processes. Additional responsibilities will include:

• Working safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Assisting in troubleshooting operational and production problems in order to identify appropriate corrective actions.
• Disassembling, assembling, cleaning, and operation of manufacturing equipment.
• Proactively communicating and working to resolve any production, quality or safety issues.
• Possessing general mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge.

Position Details
Location: Greenville, NC.
Salary: $23-$24/ hr plus overtime, $1 shift differential and semiannual bonuses of 5%.
Work Schedule: Patheon runs two 12-hour shifts (non rotating). Initial training will last 4-6 months on first shift. You will then stay on first shift or move to night shift.

Supervisors and Process Engineers (Greenville, NC)

Position Description
As a Supervisor, you will be leading a technical team in the company’s sterile filling department. Additional responsibilities will include:

• Supervising night-shift operatives in routine operations by spending at least 50% of available time interfacing with employees to ensure that every product unit is of high quality and exceeds all the Company’s current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
• Ensuring that production schedule is met by distributing workload in accordance with changing priorities.
• Ensuring sterile production operations are properly controlled and regulatory compliance requirements are met by ensuring batch documentation is accurate, Standard Operating Procedures are accurate and personnel training is current, critical documentation templates are accurate, equipment is in good repair and current calibration, and high standards of housekeeping are maintained in all areas of responsibility.
• Preparing planners for all personnel and evaluating personnel performance.
• Providing feedback for continuous improvement.
• Assisting with hiring and disciplining staff as required.
• Maintaining a work environment which fosters teamwork and supports the company’s Continuous Business Improvement Process.
• Supporting the company’s safety program to maximize safety awareness and providing a safe work environment.
• Evaluating/solving production problems by reviewing the area of concern, developing potential solutions, technically evaluating, or testing the solutions, and preparing summary reports/recommendations for management.

As a Process Engineer, you will provide technical chemical engineering support and expertise to Production, Laboratory, and Maintenance required for production process changes in support of Operation Excellence. This includes customer technical transfers, modifications to existing processes or adding new processes that will improve process safety, reduce plant operational costs as well as improve product quality and efficiency. Additional responsibilities include:

• Evaluating customer bid proposals and developing process flow diagrams, establishing technical fit into existing facilities & equipment, identifying process, facility and safety gaps with cost effective technical solutions, developing cost estimate, implementation timing with assumptions, and alternative to be considered.
• Developing and making recommendations for new process designs and/or modifications for assigned areas to ensure maximum operating efficiency, return on investment, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Evaluating pharmaceutical processes and operations to improve operating efficiency and rate, product quality, on-stream factor and economy.
• Preparing process flow sheets, energy balances, material balances, etc., in order to provide sufficient information for Project Engineering to prepare detailed specifications for cost estimates and construction.
• Providing daily process engineering support to Production on operating problems and to maintenance/plant engineering on equipment performance and materials problems.
• Providing technical recommendations to permit plant operation within state and federal government regulatory requirements (FDA, EMEA, OSHA, EPA, IBC, etc.).
• Providing technical support to departments outside Production.
• Reviewing all process designs and modifications for safety implications and requirements.
• Actively promoting a safe work environment for self, employees, and other personnel to reduce personnel and environmental SHE risks. Displaying positive safety behaviors at all times and observing and promoting all safety and security rules.

Position Details:
Location: Greenville, NC
Salary: $85K-$95K
Shift Work: 12-hour non-rotating shift. Our client runs a 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off schedule.
