Position Details:
Title: Building Automation Field Service Technician
Location: Remote, home-based in NYC, preferably near/around Nassau Country/Manhattan within 50 miles.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch and a 35-hour work week.

Position Description: In this role you will service newer and older company building management and HVAC controls systems at client sites, especially Company and Tridium product line systems. • Assist with performing start-up, warranty, paid service and service contract activities. Assist with performing hardware set-up on specified systems within established time frames.
• Troubleshoot and correct process variations on systems. Diagnose sources of hardware or process problems on equipment, facilities or wafers.
• Participate in local customer meetings and communicates orally with customers in face-to-face, one-on-one settings, group settings and communicates professionally by email and telephone, as needed.
• This position may require the use of company hired vehicles on company business. You must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving privileges
In order to be successful in this role, you should have experience with and a significant working knowledge of Electronics / Avionics and electrical systems. You should also have a clear ability to work with electronic equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, oscilloscopes, etc; the ability to troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry, including reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams; and a working understanding of AC power circuitry including breakers, multi-phase power, etc (120VAC and greater).

• Schedule/Travel: You will perform on-site technical services at customer sites throughout your assigned, multiple state territory (see highlighted regions on map above). You can expect ~80% overnight travel, sometimes for several weeks consecutively. When you aren’t travelling overnight, you will be providing technical service to customers in the local area.
• Compensation: Target base rate ~$65K-$70K (total earning potential ~$100K with overtime, triple-time and bonuses)

• Conduct/control service activities as assigned to ensure timely customer support and safety are achieved while meeting the budgeted goals and objectives for productivity and utilization.
• Communicate well with central scheduling, management, other departments and customers.
• Function as the equipment service technician within the departmental advising EPE service management and/or engineering of any problems or situations with models of current or modified design.
• Provide learning experience for both customer and EPE plant personnel on machine operation.
• Learn and grow skill sets and competencies to achieve both business and personal development objectives.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have well-rounded troubleshooting and maintenance experience, ideally with industrial equipment, electrical, pneumatic and other related mechanical systems (pumps, valves, air cylinders, conveyors, etc).
