Your guide to our operations

Honda of America Manufacturing’s operations in Ohio and Indiana encompass every facet of our business from our history to our products. Here’s a brief description of what we do and where we do it, so feel free to take a look around.

    Honda Manufacturing of Indiana
When Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC (HMIN) first began full-scale production at its Greensburg location, it set in motion the assembly of thousands of vehicles each month. HMIN is honored to produce the Civic Sedan, the car that helped establish the Honda reputation for quality and efficiency. The addition of the Indiana exclusive models, the Civic Natural Gas and Civic Hybrid, to our production line, underscores the role HMIN plays within Honda.

Honda Transmission Manufacturing of America, Inc.
Built in 1997, we’re Honda’s most integrated transmission plant in the world. We make automatic transmissions, continuously variable transmissions (CVTs), and four-wheel drive systems. Over the past two years, we’ve invested more than $235 million and added more than 100 jobs as we continue to expand our high-tech capabilities.

    Marysville Auto Plant
Marysville is where it all started. In November,1982, our very first Honda Accord rolled off the line here and we haven’t looked back since. Over the next 30 years, the plant and its iconic flagship vehicle, the Accord, would lay the foundation for an unprecedented success story. Today, the 4 million square feet Marysville plant represents the largest of our Ohio operations, producing the Honda Accord Sedan & Coupe, the Accord Hybrid and the Acura TLX and ILX for customers in more than 100 countries around the world.

    East Liberty Auto Plant
Since opening in December 1989, Honda’s East Liberty Auto Plant has manufactured more than 4.5 million Honda and Acura vehicles. The 2.1 million-square-foot plant is the sole production source for the Acura RDX, our popular compact premium SUV, and the Honda Crosstour. It’s also the U.S. home of the Honda CR-V. This unique production mix makes East Liberty one of our most versatile operations.

  • ANNA, OH

    Anna Engine Plant
Since opening its doors in 1985, the Anna Engine Plant has grown from a humble beginning of just 100 associates into our second largest Ohio operation employing more than 2,600 people. It annually produces more than 1 million four-cylinder and V-6 engines and components for Honda production facilities in Canada, Ohio, Alabama and Indiana, along with driveshafts, crankshafts, brake components, camshafts and cylinder sleeves. In 2013, the Anna Engine Plant started producing pulley components for the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

This is what we came here to build in 1982. The Marysville team continues to redefine sophistication and efficiency with the Honda Accord.
