Requirements:

2-3 years of experience as a field technician working on electronic equipment on commercial vessels or similar experience (for non-military candidates)
3+ years’ experience as a military electronics technician working on communications or related systems
Able to receive a TWIC card within 2 months of hire. Able to qualify for Military base access
Technical knowledge of two-way radio, microwave, and satellite communications (preferred).
Know how to use an RFI, Watt meter, Spectrum analyzer, and other test equipment (preferred)
Must have clean driving record, valid driver license and be insurable.
Good to have:

FCC GMDSS Radio Operator License (or able to obtain within a month of starting)

Position Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be committed to providing leadership and direction to the maintenance crew in the areas of machine repairs, preventative maintenance, and building maintenance tasks that are mechanical/electrical in nature. The Field Service Engineer will prepare written reports of calibration results according to ISO/IEC 17025 and troubleshoot electronic & electromechanical devices from schematics and mechanical drawings.

Requirements/ Relevant Experience:

Skilled technicians with formal technical training and 4+ years of technical experience as requested.

Military backgrounds in electronics, electrical maintenance, and/or mechanical component repair are all great skill sets and backgrounds that translate successfully to these roles.  Experience in technical metrology or prior calibration experience is preferred. Experience with universal destructive testing machines and extensometers is also preferred but not required.
