Position Summary: The Service Department is an integral and vital part of the dealership, and the way it builds open, honest, trusting relationships with customers and other departments is essential to the dealership's success. The Service Manager takes the lead role in managing an efficient and profitable Service Department through productive staffing, customer retention, technician training and quality workmanship while improving productivity and reducing costs to meet objectives.

This position is crucial to achieve the highest customer satisfaction by performing duties in accordance with current vendor practices and our company's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring Service Department growth and profitability.
  • Understanding and ensuring compliance with all International and vendor policies and warranty procedures.
  • Reviewing and signing off on all Service Department outside purchases charged to the Service Department or a customer repair order.
  • Reviewing warranty performance statements on ISIS monthly.
  • Reviewing warranty charge backs with Warranty Administrator weekly.
  • Reviewing the over 60 days warranty debits weekly to ensure payment.
  • Reviewing open repair orders over 30 days to insure closure and payment.
  • Reviewing C.O.D. repair orders to ensure the vehicle and keys are on premises.
  • Attending International's Parts and Service Managers annual meeting.
  • Maintaining high quality service repairs to minimize comebacks.
  • Ensuring that all work is fairly and equally assigned.
  • Investigating the progress of vehicle completion by conducting periodic spot checks of all jobs throughout the day to ensure timely repairs, quality workmanship and cleanliness.
  • Keeping abreast of all warranty policies and product changes to maintain effectiveness in this role.
  • Providing current manufacturers' vendor training courses for technicians and service staff.
  • Reviewing random completed repair orders, noting technician comments, technician sign off, repair completion and road test completion.
  • Understanding and keeping abreast of all federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, EPA, etc.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment in all service areas.
  • Ensuring that current and required tools are purchased as necessary.
  • Holding monthly staff and technician meetings.
  • Explaining completed work and charges to the customer if required.
  • Interviewing potential Service Department employees
  • Ensuring the service staff members are performing their duties as outlined in the appropriate job descriptions.
  • Seeking out and securing new service business

Pay Rate:
$20.00 - $35.00/hr

Position Summary: In this role you will provide technical expertise and guidance to all levels of technicians. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair: brake, air systems, electrical, HVAC, drivetrain and transmission, engine and exhaust, suspension, and steering issues
  • Engage with external manufacturers and warranty contacts to maximize reimbursement of services
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
  • Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection
  • Save, tag and deliver parts of the job to the parts department if under warranty or if requested by the customer
  • Communicate with service advisor or shop foreman immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlines is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed with promised time
  • Communicate with the customer on specific complaints or details of repairs as needed
  • Document all work performed and recommended on repair order
  • Road test vehicles when required
  • Maintain training and education as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience with trucks, construction equipment, or farming equipment
  • ASE certification preferred but not required

Position Summary: Parts Counter Sales Representatives are responsible for maintaining customer experience standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner
  • Fulfill customers walk-in or phone orders
  • Quickly, accurately, and professionally respond to customer requests
  • Manage orders from inventory, parts orders, and special orders
  • Maintain accurate records for pricing, stock levels, invoices, and customer needs
  • Organize and maintain the counter and parts display areas
  • Assist in warehouse management as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Parts department, truck dealership, or truck aftermarket environment
  • Team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer
  • Self-motivated, organized, great written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be flexible with your work schedule
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive or truck mechanics
  • Basic computer and mathematics skills
  • Experience with Procede preferred
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds, unaided

Position Summary: Parts Outside Sales Representatives solicit parts business from assigned accounts through personal and phone contacts. Responsibilities include:
  • Visit assigned customers and prospect for new customers
  • Communicate parts orders to counterpeople
  • Check with customers to ensure that delivery dates are acceptable before ordering
  • Review special orders
  • Advise counterpeople on delivery instructions
  • Coordinate service sales
  • Update customer records to reflect changes to names, addresses, etc.
  • Attend training seminars when possible
  • Acts as a public relations liaison for the dealership.

  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must drive for extended periods of time
  • Must work efficiently in extreme temperatures, hot and cold
