Many Hiring Managers and TA professionals are busy fine-tuning their recruiting goals and budget for 2020, possibly even with an eye on a potential recession. With this in mind, Cory Kruse, President of Orion Novotus, recently shared five tips that companies should keep in mind with HR Morning.

Writing for Recruiting Daily, Orion Talent CEO Mike Starich discusses whether, in a tight recruiting environment, it is wise for companies to relax their hiring criteria. In “Hire Like It is 2019”, Mike lays out four ways companies can go about finding the right balance of relaxed qualifications, while maintaining sourcing and screening best practices.

When in comes to strategic recruiting, there really isn’t any type of formal body in the recruiting industry that codifies established practices. That means that most recruiting leaders are pretty much making it up as they go, rather than following a defined set of principles.

As 2018 draws to a close, it’s a great time to reflect on how the recruiting industry has changed over the last few years and what that means for the future. In his guest post, Dave Lehmkuhl, Regional Manager at Orion Talent, explores how the recruiting strategies of 2014 are obsolete in 2018 and will continue to be so in the New Year.
