Position Description: The company is seeking a self-directed and knowledgeable Environmental Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental compliance programs across site operations. In this role, you will ensure adherence to federal, state (particularly NC DEQ), and local environmental regulations while supporting corporate environmental and sustainability goals. You will serve as the site’s subject matter expert on environmental compliance, risk mitigation, permitting, waste management, and ISO 14001 audits.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead environmental compliance audits and partner with departments to improve environmental performance

• Manage projects related to air permitting, wastewater, stormwater, solid and hazardous waste, and sustainability initiatives

Education & Qualifications:
• B.S. in Environmental Engineering (civil or chemical engineering also acceptable)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant environmental compliance experience
• Wastewater Operator Physical/Chemical Level 1 or 2 certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills & competencies:
• Strong working knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, including NC DEQ, Title V, RCRA, EPCRA, and HAZWOPER

Position Description: Responsibilities include:
• Inspect chassis, enter work orders into Caliber at specified facilities.
• Monitor and control M&R costs for chassis for same specified locations.
• Monitor and control OOS equipment levels to include Repair Estimate Approval and Repair Limit Compliance.
• Regular communications with the logistics department about equipment requirements.
• Update chassis OOS status and notes as needed in the M&R System.
• Conduct daily visits to specified local CYs to ensure that all M&R issues are addressed, and that Company Policies are enforced. Provide detailed written reports of any problems with the Manager.
• Ensure company inspection/repair standards are communicated to vendors and adhered to on all equipment repairs.
• Assist locations in continuously investigating ways and means reducing overall M&R costs while ensuring service levels are not compromised.
• Work with vendors to increase productivity.
• Monitor and control spare parts inventory levels of company owned parts.
• Respond to all correspondence ASAP, no later than one working day.
• Review work order input in M&R system daily and transmit work orders daily.
• Discuss and resolve work order input discrepancy with M&R vendors.
• Perform company monthly safety review.
• Conduct shop site audits for all locations in your area.
• Monitor and release any DVER/DVIR inspections that location is notified of.
• Review M&R system reports as needed, vendor report card, duplicate code and duplicate work order reports.
• Generate information for third party billing/damage recovery at all locations.
• Track and order license plates for chassis.

Requirements:
• 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair and thorough knowledge of chassis or trailer repair.
