Shift: Day Shift; On-call rotation. 6-8 times of year, including weekends and holidays.

- Hourly rate is paid from “portal to portal” – this means being paid from the time you get in the car to drive to work until the time you arrive back at your resting place for the evening.

Travel: This is a remote, home-based position traveling around the specified area you are hired for and covering within a 4 -5 hour driving radius. Additional travel, including some overnights, during the first 90 days may be necessary for training purposes.

90 days of on-the-job training in your region and 3 weeks (not back- to -back) of classroom training in your first year at their Charleston, SC headquarters.

Position Description:
As a Field Service Technician, you will travel to hospital sites to complete the installation, service, and maintenance of company products while providing excellent service to customers. This could be a great fit if you possess strong mechanical aptitude and excellent customer service skills! You may have experience as a/an: Automotive Repair Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, HVAC Technician, Car Wash Mechanic, Machinist’s Mate, Boiler Technician, Generator Technician, Forklift Technician, Appliance or Equipment Repair Technician, etc.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions using test instruments.
• Measures and adjusts digital and analog instrumentation using calibration equipment.
• Installs, modifies and repairs company and/or 3rd party equipment.
• Manages customer base effectively; prioritizing customer needs and balancing preventive maintenance (PM) workload with daily repairs.
• Demonstrates correct usage and application of equipment to customers.
• Conducts product in-service trainings as required.
• Completes service reports, timesheets, expense reports and parts lists in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains an organized work vehicle with necessary tools, manuals and parts required to provide efficient repairs and installations.
• Monitors customer chemical orders, contract sales and renewals
• Promotes and maintains good customer relations through high standards of professionalism, ethical behavior, maturity and good judgment.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• 3+ years of experience with industrial electrical single and 3-phase wiring and controls
• Experience troubleshooting water and pneumatic process controls.
• Experience using diagnostic test equipment, volt-ohm meters, amp probes and precision temperature and pressure calibration equipment.
• Ability to perform piping of copper, brass and stainless-steel piping.
• Ability to read and red-line P&ID and electrical schematics
• Moderate technical aptitude; general computer skills with the ability to communicate effectively via e-mail.
• Ability to lift at least fifty pounds unassisted.
• Ability to climb over and crawl under equipment.
• Ability to travel extensively with little notice prior to travel.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as business need dictates.
• Ability to maintain compliance of all credentialing requirements in order to access customer sites.
