Orion Talent Offers Companies Chance to Interview Military Job Seekers in St. Louis, Missouri

Monday, October 29, 2018
Orion Talent, a proven total talent solutions provider, is excited to announce its St. Louis, Missouri, Hiring Conference on November 4 & 5, 2018, the first such event Orion has held in the city.

With 27+ years as a military recruiting leader and an award-winning provider of talent acquisition services, Orion Talent offers about 75 Hiring Conferences a year throughout the US. St. Louis, home to the Cardinals and the Gateway Arch, is the latest addition to this schedule.  With nine of the ten Missouri-based Fortune 500 companies located in St. Louis, it is a smart selection for a location.

The very first St. Louis Orion Hiring Conference will be held November 4 & 5, 2018, at Embassy Suites in Bridgeton, MO. Throughout 2018, Orion has hosted an average of 25 companies and 60 candidates at each regional hiring conference. This precedent, coupled, with St Louis’ economic climate, is predictive of an excellent turnout.

Companies from all around the Midwest will assemble for the two-day event, featuring Tyco SimplexGrinnell, the world leader in fire protection, security, HVAC, building controls and energy storage, SunCoke Energy, a supplier of high-quality coke to the integrated steel industry, WestRock, a global consumer & corrugated packaging company, and Pfizer, one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies, among others. All companies are hiring for leadership, engineering, and technical positions throughout the Midwest.

Each company will interview up to ten pre-qualified candidates in a single day. Hiring Managers are also given the opportunity to familiarize the candidates with their company and the position(s) for which they will be interviewing.

Bob Overbeek, Regional Manager at Orion Talent, explains, “There is some outstanding military talent in the Greater St. Louis area. That fact, coupled with the region’s growth and that the city accounts for nearly half of the Show-Me State’s economic output, makes St. Louis a natural choice for an Orion Midwest Military Hiring Conference.
Orion has a strong history of successfully placing our nation’s transitioning active military and veteran candidates no matter the economic climate or talent market, and we look forward to connecting the candidates in attendance with the excellent career opportunities offered by our clients.”
Designed to be a one-stop recruiting experience for hiring managers, Orion conferences are a productive event, as a recent critical infrastructure company discovered when they hired six out of the nine candidates interviewed. A global leader in manufacturing describes their hiring conference success: "It was an excellent event. The efficiency of having seven qualified candidates lined up and ready for follow-up interviews the next week was fantastic!" The St. Louis Hiring Conference will take place November 4 & 5, 2018, at Embassy Suites in Bridgeton, MO.
