Orion Talent Joins Infrastructure Masons Veterans Coalition

Tuesday, June 30, 2020
Military veterans represent a diverse workforce that learns and adapts quickly while continuously striving for excellence

June 30, 2020 – Infrastructure Masons (IM) is pleased to welcome Orion Talent to its Veterans Coalition.  A strategic alliance with Orion Talent will greatly enhance the IM Veterans initiative, which is focused on raising awareness of the Digital Infrastructure industry within the military community (which includes, but is not limited to active, guard and reserve; veteran support organizations; and functional affiliate groups).

Orion’s existing relationships at military installations, including its distribution network of 1,500+ installation contacts, as well as an engaged social media audience of 65,000+ is a great addition to the coalition’s efforts.  Orion will partner with IM Military Liaisons who are assigned to various installations across the US. With this relationship, greater numbers of Veterans will be offered free membership within IM and the opportunity to participate globally as new IM Chapters are established.

This partnership recognizes the value that veterans bring to the digital infrastructure industry, and the power of coalitions to accomplish more together.  Lee Kirby, Chairman & Co-Founder, Salute Mission Critical, serves as the IM Veterans Global Lead and a member of the IM Advisory Council. “I am very excited about the opportunity to raise awareness in the military community at a greatly accelerated pace as a result of this partnership,” said Kirby. “The collaborative nature of IM and the various programs that we are building to help new talent network and learn in the industry will prove very attractive to veterans wishing to embark on a new career.”

The dramatic growth of the Digital Infrastructure industry demands a high volume of skilled talent. IM Veterans is eager to help military professionals connect, grow, and give back within the industry, while attracting military talent with unmatched training in electronic, mechanical, and electrical systems, as well as proven leadership skills.

“Attracting new, diverse talent is one of our industry’s biggest challenges. Orion’s partnership helps us greatly expand coverage in the US and allows our leadership to focus on beginning to build out our international program,” according to Dean Nelson, Chairman & Founder of Infrastructure Masons. “Veterans are highly trained, disciplined members of the workforce that can contribute great value to digital infrastructure growth and support.”

Orion Talent has found careers for more than 1,500 veterans within various roles across Data Centers and Mission Critical Facilities. “We are pleased to be joining the IM Veterans Coalition,” said Mike Starich, CEO of Orion Talent. “Together, our companies will work to overcome the technical talent gap this industry is experiencing and introduce Digital Infrastructure opportunities to transitioning servicemembers and veterans seeking a new career.”

Military veterans are critical to the success of this industry; IM Veterans Coalition and Orion Talent will expand Digital Infrastructure industry awareness to veterans, veteran support groups, active duty service members, and military installations throughout the nation.
