Veterans Day is celebrated today; but, at Orion Talent, every day is about veterans!

Tomorrow is Veterans Day, a federal holiday to commemorate and honor all those who have served in the US military.

Created specifically for returning WWII veterans, the GI Bill provides tuition expense benefits for service members to attend a college or vocational/technical school. The Post-9/11 GI Bill went into effect on August 1, 2009, and is the most comprehensive education benefits package since the original bill was enacted in 1944.

The pandemic has arguably changed the landscape of the hiring process, most notably in the interview stage. Videoconferencing has evolved from a “nice to have” tool to now being the only means of communication between job seekers and employers.

Transitioning from the military can be overwhelming, daunting, and hard to know where to start. Add to that the current global health crisis, and it is especially difficult to navigate a military to civilian transition.
