Position Descriptions: Production (FAA Part 21) of electrical and avionics systems for helicopter manufacturing.

Avionics Final Assembly Line (FAL) Technician (Part 21):
• Assemble, modify & install wire bundles, conductors & other electrical components.
• Installs standard and advanced electrical systems and performs electrical continuity testing.
• Clearly document work performed, control equipment status tags, log critical information during installation, verify parts requests, etc.
• Read & Interpret schematics assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, written instructions, etc.
• Ad hoc projects as assigned by Assembly Line Supervisor.

Avionics Flight Line (FL) Technician (Part 21):
• Assist in the transfer of helicopters from the Production line to Flight Line, and perform incoming inspections.
• Assemble, modify & install wire bundles, components, and other avionic equipment.
• Perform function testing in accordance with applicable job cards.
• Install, troubleshoot and test avionic systems.
• Perform crimping and de-pin and pin of electrical connectors.
• Prepare helicopters for customer delivery.

Requirements:
Avionics Final Assembly Line (FAL) Technician (Part 21):
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of Electrical/Avionics aviation production required.
• Knowledge of rotor or fixed wing aircraft.
• General overall knowledge of aviation electrical/avionics components.
• Able to use a variety of manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, heat shrink gun, complex, specialized aircraft test equipment, etc.
• Effective communication skills.

Avionics Flight Line (FL) Technician (Part 21):
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of aviation maintenance training/experience.
• Rotor wing experience preferred.

Requirements:
• 2-4 years of troubleshooting experience in uninterruptable power systems, battery technologies, emergency power, electricity, or electronics.
