Mechanics are responsible for providing complex mechanical and HVAC maintenance across large institutional facilities. This role supports daily building operations through inspection, repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance of mechanical systems and related equipment. Primary Responsibilities

Coordinate jobs flowing through the department and verify data prior to being released to the shop.

May develop programs for touch probe programming for on machine inspection and coordinate shifting. Support the development of touch probing standard procedures.

Requirements

Examine protective guards, loose

Advise the Service Supervisor if
additional repair work is necessary
Tag all warranty parts and returns
to warranty clerk.
Maintain a neat and orderly working
area, and proper handling of company tools
Follow safe work practices and
procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for
working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
Attend training classes and keep
abreast of factory technical bulletins

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

High
school diploma or GED is required. Combination of education, training, or

Three
to five years of commercial truck technical service experience.

certifications preferred: Cummins, Detroit, International, etc.
