Description

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s in Electrical Engineering strongly preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in a technical or engineering role
• 5+ years of experience in at least two of the following: PV systems, battery storage systems, plant communications/controllers, medium voltage products, and/or power-to-gas solutions
• Advanced knowledge of engineering and mathematical concepts
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

• Experience in the renewable industry, solar installation, system design, and/or inspection
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, PLCs, and PACs
• Advanced skills with communication protocols (Modbus, DNP, OPC, ICCP, TCP/IP, TCP/UDP)
• Knowledge of power plant measurement devices and techniques
• Advanced knowledge of large-scale product lines
• Fluency in English (German and/or Spanish a plus)
• Ability to work occasional nonstandard business hours

• Provide technical expertise for large-scale products including central inverters, medium voltage equipment, communication and control systems, converters, and rectifiers
• Support technical and engineering teams in troubleshooting complex system failures and provide advanced electrical theory to escalate investigations
• Serve as primary customer interface when required, delivering solutions and technical support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product design, serviceability, and performance
• Conduct root cause analyses and provide recommendations for system improvements

Description

• Troubleshoot and optimize laser system performance (electronic, electrical, and mechanical)
• Perform electronic troubleshooting to the board level, repair/test systems, and package/ship systems/components
• Provide repair estimates for customer quotes and support product support group activities
• Update engineering with feedback on required upgrades through change requests
• Train/support customers, partners, and internal personnel
• Participate in application development with sales and applications teams
• Identify new customer requirements and provide specifications for new product features
• Support customer communication via phone, email, and online platforms
• Work within ERP and CRM systems to manage service activities

• Ability to use a multimeter
• Strong electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills with high- and low-voltage equipment
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics

• 120 hours of on-the-job training with another Inspector to
  complete training process.
• Perform new construction, repair, alteration and
  jurisdiction inspections of boilers and pressure vessels as required by the
  American Society of Mechanical Engineering Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
  (ASME Code) Sections III, and National Board Code including referenced
  construction codes and standards of our clients.

• High school diploma and equivalent (Military) work
  experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years of boiler and/or high-pressure steam & water
  system maintenance/operation experience
• 4+ years of mechanical experience with Boilers and Pressure
  Vessels in a power plant-Nuke or conventional MM/BT, or an SRO and/or a Steam
  PPWO/EOOW 3+ years
• Navy Nuke EM or ET with a minimum of 3yrs qualified SRO
  experience
• Quality Assurance inspections of mechanical equipment,
  water, and steam systems
• Boiler and/or steam system maintenance and operation

• NBIC Boiler

POSITION DETAILS
Perform precision machining of large and complex metal components used in critical aerospace
and defense systems. The machinist may handle oversized workpieces, apply advanced
measurement techniques, troubleshoot processes, and collaborate with engineering and
production teams to ensure mission-critical components are manufactured safely and efficiently.

Principal Activities

• Operate and set up CNC and manual machines including lathes, milling machines, multitasks, and Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs).
• Machine large, complex components to precise tolerances per blueprints and
  specifications.
• Perform turning, boring, drilling, facing, and milling operations on oversized or irregular
  workpieces.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, dial bore gages, verniers, and other precision
  instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
• Handle and position heavy workpieces safely, following rigging and crane procedures
  when required.
• Maintain machines through routine care, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve challenges and improve
  workflows.
• Adhere to safety standards and perform other duties as assigned.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting geometric tolerances.
• Experience operating CNC and manual lathes, mills, turret lathes, and Vertical Turning
  Lathes (VTLs) preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to machine large and heavy components to close tolerances.
• Familiarity with rigging, cranes, and safe handling of oversized workpieces.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to adjust machining parameters for accuracy
  and efficiency.
• Open to coaching and cross-training across multiple machine types.
• U.S. Citizenship required (per DoD requirements).
  

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or concentration in machining
  preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of machining experience, including large-part or precision
  machining preferred.

• Keep up with the progress of all vehicles in the shop, keep customers informed of the following, progress of their vehicles, parts ordering, additional repairs needed, and Estimated Time of Completion
• Contact Customer as soon as vehicle is completed, explain repairs and charges to customer
• Conduct follow-up calls to ensure repairs were completed correctly and ensure the customer is satisfied
• Must be customer sensitive, be able to listen to customer concerns and communicate in a professional manner with all customers, internal and external.
