Orion has partnered with PCSgrades, a review and resource platform that supports the biggest relocation needs for military members, veterans, and military spouses. Think of it as a Yelp or Google Reviews exclusively for military families that also has blog articles to help answer your relocation and area specific questions.
Prior to founding PCSgrades, Todd Ernst, Founder and CEO, spent over 5 years leading the fight to change U.S. Public Law to provide equal survivor benefits for Guard and Reserve families who lost loved ones in the line of duty. Todd’s passion for helping those who have served is now lived out through PCSgrades, which was built on the strongly held belief that the “military family” takes care of its own.
Todd recently joined Orion’s From the Battlefield to the Boardroom Podcast to discuss his 22 year career in the Air Force, his transition out of the military, and what led him to founding PCSgrades. In the podcast Todd gives an in-depth look at the resources and services PCSgrades provides to military families and discusses the importance of getting feedback from the community.
PCSgrades is committed to growing its business by earning trust and credibility within the military and veteran community. “We tend to identify with each other in ways that we don’t with those who are outside of our community. Rather than us pretending we’re the experts, we crowdsource that expertise from the people we trust the most - and frankly, that’s each other,” he explained.
PCSgrades offers comprehensive area guides, PCS checklists, BAH calculator, military friendly real estate agents, and more. “Our services are open to everyone with a military background, whether it’s those who are still serving, veterans, and spouses of both. We provide the key things that you have no choice but to solve any time you’re relocating,” said Todd.
