  • Review work order input in M&R system daily and transmit work orders daily.
  • Discuss and resolve work order input discrepancy with M&R vendors.

  • Monitor and release any DVER/DVIR inspections that location is notified of.

Position Title: MACHINIST

Position Summary: Set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts, fit and assemble machined parts into complete units applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, maintainability of materials, and layout techniques.

Accountabilities: Machinist are responsible for producing conforming parts that meet all print dimensions within the said tolerances in the most efficient method. All SOP's and WI's must be followed and a safe, clean organized work area must be maintained.

Duties:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining as required by router instructions and good shop practice.
  • Properly select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines. Must be able to improvise setups using common tooling such as risers, angle plates, etc.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors, such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth or angle of cut or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.

Job Qualification Requirements:

Educational Experience – A minimum of four years of trade school, vocational education, or apprenticeship.

Experience – Required to have specialized experience with particular materials, products, precision level, machining process or size, type, or trade name of machine. A minimum of five years work experience.

Physical Demands – The employee is required to:

Visual Acuity – Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts and machinery.

Hearing Ability – Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.

Working Conditions – The employee is subject to:

  • high noise levels from operating machines
  • physical hazards from moving equipment and production components
  • breathing fumes, dust and mist
  • skin exposure to oils and cutting fluids.

Job Title: Aerospace Process Specialist

Reports To: Quality Manager

Department: Quality



Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Aerospace Process Specialist to lead process development and optimization efforts within our aerospace production and engineering environments. This individual will be responsible for creating and improving systems that support the safe, compliant, and efficient production of aerospace components and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and implement efficient and scalable manufacturing or engineering processes.
  • Ensure all processes comply with aerospace standards such as AS9100, FAA, EASA, and ITAR regulations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and production teams to optimize workflow and throughput.
  • Monitor key process indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions to address inefficiencies or deviations.
  • Support audits and customer reviews by providing process documentation and data.
  • Manage process change requests (PCRs), deviations, and process validation efforts.
  • Train team members on new or revised processes, ensuring proper understanding and implementation.
  • Evaluate and integrate new tools, automation, and technology to enhance process capability and consistency.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering or process management within the aerospace or defense industry
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace regulatory standards
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing techniques (e.g., composites, machining, assembly, coatings)

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in process modeling tools, Minitab, and ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred)

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective communicator across technical and non-technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Certification (Green or Black Belt)
  • Working knowledge of aerospace-specific materials and processes (e.g., titanium, carbon composites)

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
