CNC Machinist (2nd Shift) | Cleveland, OH

Location: Onsite – Cleveland, OH
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to operate large machining centers and help produce complex fabrications for submarines and other projects. You'll run machines, maintain and edit CNC programs, inspect parts, and mentor less experienced machinists—all while supporting continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.

What You'll Do
- Review engineering prints and select appropriate tooling.
- Operate large CNC machining centers (VTL or HBM) and perform machine setups.
- Edit, maintain, and optimize CNC programs.
- Inspect and measure machined components using hand gages, CMM, and other tools.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives in machining processes.
- Train and develop less experienced AT&F machinists.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure production goals, quality, and timelines are met.
Must-Have Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in component CNC machining, preferably with lower run quantities.
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
- Applied experience with inspection methods, including hand gages and CMM.
- Proven ability to develop the skills of other machinists.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, G code).
- Overhead crane operation and rigging experience.
- Basic computer skills for email and web-based communications.
