  • Technical school degree or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a mechanical assembler, technician, or mechanic in a related field
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and basic software systems
  • Experience using precision measurement tools (micrometers, feeler gauges, multimeters, etc.)
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer interaction and reporting
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a customer-facing environment
  • Valid driver's license
  • U.S. Citizenship(ITAR Compliant)
  • Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and reach
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at desks, equipment, or workstations
  • Training will be provided on RIX compressor systems and technologies

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Advanced coursework or certifications in mechanical assembly or repair
  • Experience with air and gas compressors or similar mechanical systems (compressor experience can be trained)
  • Prior field service or customer-facing technical support experience
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and compressor/generator systems
  • Military background (understands structure, professionalism, customs/courtesies)
  • Aviation experience strongly preferred
  • HVAC or similar (mechanical + electrical troubleshooting)
  • Experience in mechanical repair disciplines (hands-on)

Additional Details

  • Base Salary Range: $75,000 – $88,000
  • Work Environment: Onsite (Newport News, VA), customer site, manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments
  • Travel: Up to 10%
