Description

You will be responsible for shipping, receiving, installation, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of high vacuum pump and photo mask assemblies.

Requirements:

• Perform technical servicing of semiconductor mechanical pumps and support equipment.
• Responsible for pump inventory, tracking, shipping, and receiving of mechanical pump assemblies.
• Competent in the use of test equipment including test meters, hand tools, and power tools.
• Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and repair on malfunctioning equipment.
• Possess excellent customer interfacing and communication skills.
• Document and update pump repairs and installations.
• Interface with, vendor, Senior Technicians, and Engineers to support mechanical pump installations on time.
• Perform calibrations and preventative maintenance on Helium Leak detectors once up to speed.
• Follow maintenance and safety procedures.
• Participate in ERT/Safety events when pumps are involved.
• Train on semiconductor production equipment
• Requires minimal management supervision to perform daily routines once trained.
  

Accountability/Discretion:

• Work within established procedures and written or verbal instructions on a wide variety of technical, non-standardized assignments that are semi-routine in nature, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices and take corrective action is required.
• Demonstrate high quality work.

Working Relationships:

• Interface with all Production, Process, Facility and support functions to identify and resolve vacuum pump related issues and provide technical guidance.

Supervision:

• No direct management responsibilities

Working Conditions:

• Works in a fab and sub-fab clean-room environment
• Must demonstrate working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems operations and maintenance.
• Capable of working with hand tools and multimeter.

Job Requirements

• Requires an AS degree (Military or Trade School with an emphasis in electronics/mechanical equivalent may substitute for AS degree) or 5+ years of experience in the following technical fields, mechanical, electrical or refrigeration.
• Experience in the Semiconductor industry is a plus.

Engage and participate in the business, management, and technical direction of the Service Center.Work as part of management structure, providing general supervision for Field Engineers and Technicians and schedule workflow. Serve as customer contact and liaison. Keep track of job progressand financial details.

• Responsible for the sales, profit, and quality of the area operation.
• Review and sign contracts consistent with Limits of Authority.
• Work with the Region Director, Regional Sales Manager and Marketing Services to promote new business.

Description

As a Maintenance Technician - Mechanical, you will repair, install, and maintain facility infrastructure, production equipment, and support systems such as freezers, filling machines, conveyors, shrink-wrap machines, boilers, compressors, and ammonia refrigeration systems. This hands-on industrial mechanic role requires strong technical ability across mechanical, electrical, welding, fabrication, and troubleshooting disciplines. You will support daily production operations, uphold safety and GMP standards, and contribute to overall equipment reliability.

• Promote Operational Excellence & Reliability
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems up to and including 115 kV.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on motor control centers, distribution breakers, motors, and power/control circuits.
• Calibrate transmitters, controllers, monitoring devices, and other instrumentation for optimal performance.
• Execute mechanical preventive maintenance and identify developing equipment issues using diagnostic techniques and observation.
• Maintain adequate inventory of critical and long-lead-time parts; generate purchase orders and track deliveries.
• Review, interpret, and update electrical and instrumentation drawings to support troubleshooting and installation tasks.

• Solid understanding of 3-phase electrical systems and industrial power concepts.

• Background as a power plant operator, mechanic, millwright, or similar role.

• Technical/vocational training, military technical schooling, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Two to four years of related experience and/or training in power generation or industrial maintenance strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant systems including: condensate, feedwater, steam, combustion air, draft air, turbine lube and seal oil, circulating water, hydrogen cooling, air preheaters, boiler chemistry, flue gas, fuel flow, and wastewater treatment.
• Adhere to all safety programs and protocols: PPE, fire and accident procedures, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), confined space, fall protection, hot work permits, and switching/tagging.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Title V Air Permit and SPDES environmental requirements.
• Perform LOTO tagging and serve as LOTO Mark-up Party and Tagging Authority.
• Operate control boards within one year of hire.
• Participate in mandatory overtime and on-call duties; work rotating 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Complete online training modules through GPI-Learn.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational degree, military service, or equivalent preferred.
• 2–4 years of related experience in power plant operations, mechanical work, or millwright/maintenance roles preferred.
• Must pass DOT drug test and pre-screening physical; subject to DOT random drug testing.
• Ability to read, interpret, and write safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Proficient with email, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

• Exposure to outdoor weather, moving machinery, toxic/caustic chemicals, extreme heat, electrical hazards, high/vibrating locations, and loud noise (hearing protection required).
