What Military Appreciation Month Means to Orion

Thursday, May 24, 2018

With observances including Memorial Day, Military Spouse Appreciation Day, and Armed Forces Day, it’s fitting that May has been designated Military Appreciation Month. Declared National Military Appreciation Month in 1999 by Congress, this is a special month in which we honor those who have served our country.

This is also a special month to Orion, as we not only provide services to members of the armed forces, but we ARE members of the armed forces. Founded by five JMOs, we have deployed, fought, missed our families, mourned our brothers and sisters, and had long-awaited homecomings. We appreciate YOU, because we, too, know what the call of duty feels like.

Like our candidates, the Orion team represents all branches, and some of us continue to serve in the Guard and Reserves. We are military spouses who have held down the homefront, and military children with hero parents. We represent a wide range of military specialties, from Military Police to Infantry to Machinist Mates to Aviation to Combat Engineers...and many others. Coming from all walks of military service, we work together to provide career opportunities for our fellow veterans.

So, thank you to those who have served and those that still serve. Your sacrifice is appreciated.

"No duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks." -- James Allen
