Job Overview:

Continental Tide is seeking an experienced and skilled Welder II for our Norfolk, VA office beginning on or around June 2nd. The successful candidate will join our Fleet Services Group performing various ship repair, modernization and Alteration Installation Team (AIT) projects.

Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Knowledgeable in joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.
  • Perform various welding processes to repair, modify and install various pipes, structures, foundations and fittings associated with shipboard hydraulic, pneumatic and water systems.
  • Fabricate and install fixtures and jigs required for welding process alignments.
  • Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.
  • Must be able to select required welding filler materials, joint design, heat ranges and most effective or required welding process/procedure to ensure quality welding operations IAW TWD.
  • Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness and adherence to NAVSEA, ABS & AWS standards. Installs or repairs equipment, such as pipes, valves, floors and tank linings.
  • Leads technical project teams, schedules, reports and briefs customers and senior management.
  • Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment.
  • Experience in SMAW, GMAW & GTAW, Ship Fitting and OXY ACC & Propane GAS Cutting torch.
  • Able to weld multiple types, thicknesses & sizes of pipe, plate & bar material in horizontal, overhead and/or vertical positions.

Experience and Skills:

  • Must possess a high school, trade or vocational school degree
  • 5-10 years of direct experience in ship repair and installation of HM&E systems and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret ship installation drawings, installation specifications and NAVSEA Standard Items is preferred
  • Must have or have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance

One of our prestigious clients seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our renewable energy team in Limon,TX. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines and Balance of Plant systems to maximize uptime and energy production.

This is a hands-on, independent position where you will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and technical inspections while promoting a strong safety culture. The ideal candidate brings experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a wind energy or industrial setting, with a proven ability to work at heights and in demanding environments

Responsibilities:

  • Safely perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines and Balance of Plant equipment.

In this role, you will manage the site Data Center Quality (DCQ) program to ensure construction projects meet the highest standards. This position is key to establishing and maintaining quality assurance protocols, fostering a culture of quality, and ensuring compliance with industry requirements. As the site-level Engineer, you will implement the Construction Quality Management program to consistently deliver projects that meet customer
expectations.


What You’ll Do

  • Implement the DC Quality Control Program as directed by the DCQ Manager or Senior.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and job walks, serving as the on-site “eyes and ears” for Construction Managers.
  • Provide technical leadership on system quality, primarily MEP, and review contractor and design documentation.
  • Coordinate with contractors, superintendents, commissioning agents, manufacturers, and Procurement to ensure quality execution and timely delivery of equipment.
  • Collaborate with commissioning agencies to develop Initial Verification (IVC) and Pre-Functional Testing (PFT) checklists.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with NFPA70E, PPE use, and safe practices in live electrical environments.
  • Manage QC documentation through Cx Alloy and prepare reports on quality performance.
  • Lead or support project closeout activities and contribute to project-specific quality requirements and metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs in DCQ activities.
  • Mentor team members, manage third-party staff augmentation, and support operations during commissioning phases.
  • Remain available for after-hours and weekend project coordination when needed.
