  • Introducing the Gulf Coast Talent Community: Direct Access to Skilled Trades Talent

Finding skilled trades talent along the Gulf Coast has never been harder. Roles stay open too long, turnover is too high, and candidate pools are shrinking. For submarine and shipbuilding suppliers, these challenges can stall projects, increase costs, and strain already limited resources.

That’s why we have launched the Gulf Coast Talent Community. This is a new, Navy-funded program designed to connect Gulf Coast Maritime Industrial Base (MIB) Suppliers directly with the skilled workforce they need.

Skilled Trades Talent

The Gulf Coast Talent Community provides no-cost access to a steady pipeline of pre-screened, qualified, and ready-to-work candidates, including:

  • Pipefitters
  • Welders
  • Machinists
  • Electricians
  • NDT Technicians

These are candidates who have been vetted for experience, skills, and readiness, so you can reduce hiring time and focus on moving projects forward.

How It Works

No Cost (to you!) Recruiting: Program is fully funded by the U.S. Navy for MIB Suppliers

  1.  Access The Talent Pipeline: Tap into a pool of pre-screened candidates across key skilled trades
  2.  Review & Select Candidates: Receive resumes aligned to your needs and contact the candidates directly to move them forward within the hiring process.
  3.  Report Hiring Progress: Share a quick update with our team at two and four weeks after receiving your resumes, so that you can tell us about your resume reviews, interviews and hiring outcomes.

Regional Focus within the Gulf Coast

We are establishing communities throughout critical areas across the Gulf Coast including Pascagoula, MS; Huntsville, AL; Houston, TX; and Lockport, TA – with additional communities coming soon!

 Why It Matters

Traditional recruiting channels aren’t keeping pace with today’s workforce realities. Candidate pools are shrinking, skills are evolving quickly, and turnover is costly. By tapping into the Pascagoula Talent Community, businesses can:

  • Fill critical skilled trades roles faster
  • Reduce hiring risk with pre-qualified candidates
  • Strengthen workforce stability and project delivery
  • Gain direct support at no cost through the Navy-funded program

Get Started Today

Don’t let critical skilled trades roles go unfilled. Learn more about the Gulf Coast Talent Community designed to overcome hiring shortages and secure the talent needed to meet today’s demand.
