Job Description

  • Bonuses/Additional Compensation: With overtime due to travel, realistic annual W2 = $75K – $90K

Position Description
The Field Service Technician will perform installation, maintenance, repair, and training activities on advanced laser products, systems, and components. This is a customer-facing, hands-on service role requiring extensive travel.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-site installation, training, preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of complex laser sources and optical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose product issues directly with customers, supported by the factory technical support team and product engineers.
  • Provide remote service and visual support as required to ensure optimal product performance.
  • Advise management on customer satisfaction, product quality/reliability, and potential product improvement ideas.
  • Support sales-related activities and customer communication as needed.


Requirements
Education & Experience:
  • Associate’s degree, technical certificate/degree, or technical equivalent.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in lasers, photonics, or other sophisticated capital equipment field service.
Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills related to electronic/electrical, mechanical, and/or photonics products.
  • Ability to read technical documents, write reports, and interpret schematics.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, Oracle, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
