Description: Building Engineer

• The primary focus of the Building Engineer is to provide
  repair and maintenance services for their assigned location. A 'hands-on'
  'tool-carrying' building engineer with previous verifiable experience to
  perform operational supervision of the chiller, boilers, and all central plant
  machinery as well as maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC,
  laundry equipment, and kitchen appliances. The successful candidate coordinates
  with outside contractors and works with management to order supplies and tools.
  Professional presence as well as punctuality and reliable attendance are
  essential.

Key
Responsibilities:

• Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and
  Emergency Support maintenance of customer's facilities to include:
• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Motors
• Engines
• Controls
• Electrical
• Publish critical reporting to customers and management
  including Monthly Performance, Results Reports, Correction Action Reports
• Actively interface with customers at all levels
• Ensures customer satisfaction through oral and written
  communication

Requirements:

• Looking for Candidates with a strong technical background
  with experience troubleshooting HVAC equipment, engines, motors, and controls.
  Candidates must be mechanically inclined and have strong
  troubleshooting/problem-solving skills. Candidates should be able to
  communicate clearly both written and verbally and have strong customer service
  skills. Candidates will be self-starters and will be comfortable working by
  themselves and holding themselves accountable. Excellent communication and
  customer service skills are of utmost importance.

Job Description

Responsibilities: 

• Assistance in the startup and commissioning activities of basic/zone control systems designed and programmed by others.
• Performs and validates the execution of the initial systems point-to-point commissioning activities
• Assists higher level Systems Software Engineers in the commissioning and troubleshooting of local and wide area networks.
• Assists higher level Systems Software Engineers in the utilization of computer hardware and software to support pre-functional testing of the system software code in relationship to the design sequence of operations.
• Supports final systems functional testing as required by the project team.
• Performs basic program and graphics modification and hardware applications designs
• Initiates and tracks project checkout documentation and as-built conditions for submission to the assigned Project Manager.
  

• Associates degree in a technical field with 2-5 years of related work experience in building automation systems OR military technician experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and any technical school training.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Windows, File Structure, Basic TCP/IP network structure and web navigation are desired.
• Must be highly organized and possess the ability to work in a high paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet the schedules given by leadership
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

Travel:

• Local (very minimal overnight).
• Company vehicle provided
• Compensation (Year 1): $90-110K (OT, shift differential, bonus)
