Job Description

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, California 
Employment Type: Full-time, six-month fixed-term assignment 
Starting Pay: $32 per hour 
Travel: Required based on project needs

Work Directly with Learning Humanoid Robots

As a member of the Pilot Support team, you will work directly with humanoid robots and help teach them new movements, behaviors, and skills. Using specialized teleoperation equipment, you will guide robots through designated activities and collect the data used to train and refine their AI systems.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who is physically coordinated, technologically curious, adaptable, and excited to work with emerging technology.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Wear teleoperation equipment to guide a humanoid robot through designated behaviors 
  • Help teach robots new physical tasks and skills 
  • Collect and upload data to AI training systems 
  • Identify issues during data collection and provide daily feedback 
  • Maintain a safe environment for yourself, your team, and the robot 
  • Follow established procedures for equipment and robot startup, shutdown, and care 
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve robot behaviors over time 
  • Adapt to new processes as the technology and operation evolve 
 
What You’ll Bring
  • Excellent physical coordination, spatial awareness, and sustained focus 
  • The ability to stand and remain active for eight or more hours per day 
  • The ability to learn physical tasks quickly and perform them consistently 
  • A willingness to receive feedback and continually improve 
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment 
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including overnight shifts 
  • Willingness and ability to travel for assignments 
  • Authorization to work in the United States 
 
Helpful, but Not Required
  • Experience working with robots or automated equipment 
  • Mechanical or technical troubleshooting experience 
  • Video-game, virtual-reality, or motion-control experience 
  • An athletic, dance, military, or other movement-oriented background 
  • Interest in artificial intelligence, robotics, or emerging technology 
 
Schedule and Travel
Schedules may vary and can include day, swing, and overnight shifts. Travel within or outside the Bay Area may also be required. Assignments could range from local day trips to off-site stays lasting up to one month.
