Description

Position Details:
• Title: Maintenance Supervisor
• Location: Council Bluffs, IA
• Shift: Sun-Fri (1030pm-730am)
• Compensation: $85-95k base salary + 8% bonus + some Saturday work that is paid ~$40-45/hr + relocation assistance

Position Description:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead team members in the maintenance department that have an overall impact to production lines and affiliated equipment, buildings and grounds. This will include scheduling work and workforce to meet production demands, maintain the preventative maintenance system and work toward exceeding the plants safety and uptime goals. You will help establish mechanical integrity and equipment reliability programs to ensure employee safety provide environmental security and maximize the plant's availability, product quality, and cost effectiveness. Leverage internal and external resources to provide daily direction and solutions for the workforce. Lead activities of workers engaged in maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.
• Train, motivate and direct employees to follow safe work methods and standard procedures to ensure efficient use of employees
• Monitor downtime occurrences and efficiencies of the production lines, paying special attention for maintenance and mechanical trends.
• Maintain equipment for efficient operation within maintenance budget; operate within the constraint of the union contract and USDA regulations.
• Seek continuous improvement in the Maintenance Department employees and the efficiencies of the production lines.
• Assume full ownership of predictive and preventive maintenance activities including oil analysis, vibration analysis, engine-compressor analysis, and infrared thermography.
• Evaluate PM/PDM activities and frequencies to ensure optimum use of workforce and resources in maximizing equipment reliability.
• Assume to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
• Involves all associates in a team concept, keeping personnel safety, food safety and uptime as the top priorities.
• Follow safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
• Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.

Requirements:
• 3+ years of electromechanical maintenance experience
• Previous lead tech or supervisor experience is required. This role will value individuals who can coach and mentor their shift technicians and operators. A record of successfully leading maintenance teams is critical.
• Must be able to coordinate maintenance evolutions across multiple teams and effectively communicate timelines and material condition requirements.
• Experience with Preventative Maintenance programs (Company uses SAP)
