Shifts: 2nd Shift Available Currently - 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM Monday – Friday + OT
Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE + OT at time and a half

Position Description: This position is responsible for the general assembly and oil processing of instrument transformers. Also responsible for the winding of coils in the manufacturing process of power transformers:
• General instrument transformer assembly, tanking, dry-out, and oil processing activities, following documented operation instructions and drawings.
• Plan and implement solutions to mechanical problems as needed with the Supervisor’s help.
• Read and interpret winding specification documents to determine characteristics.
• Turn count verification is a must on all coils.
• Determine coil number, quantity, and revision. Record the coil number on the coil.
• Determine and install the appropriate mandrel device on the machine.
• Adjust mandrel, end plates, and/or tailstock as required by window size specification.
• Load conductor and insulating paper to de-reeling mechanisms on the machine.
• Measure materials and adjust per specs to accommodate material and verify proper alignment.
• Work safely, using all safety equipment supplied.
• Complete shop records accurately.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of mechanical maintenance or mechanical assembly experience
• General use of hand and power tools including drill presses, hand drills, torque wrenches, shears, taps, grinders, calipers, squares, tape measure, etc.
