Position Details
Location: Lenexa, KS
Compensation: First Year Total Comp = $117.5K – $144K
• Base Pay Rate: $80,000 – $90,000
• 0-15% Shift Differential (depending on shift): $0 – 13,500
• Additional Average OT: $11,500 – 14,000
• 5% Target Bonus: $4,000 – 4,500
• Signing Bonus: 10,000
• Annual Value of Company Car: $12,000
Shift: Shift: 3 Shift Operation (8-hour shifts), w/ openings on 1st and 3rd shifts. Shift Differential Paid at 15% for 3rd Shift
Travel: Minimal

Position Description
As an Automation Informatics Consultant, you will be typically dedicated to one specific customer account, providing on-site support for company automation and middleware solutions. You will also be responsible for providing dedicated, on-site customer support for system configuration, which includes pre-installation, installation, training, troubleshooting and post-implementation support of the company’s middleware and automation products. You will support multiple operational shifts including on-call rotations.
The areas of responsibilities are to work closely with on-site management, first, second, and third-shift employees. As the customer-dedicated, on-site Automation Informatics Consultant, you must respond to difficult on-site system problems. You will be integral to the planning of an installation, instrument setup and training of on-site, customer lab personnel. You will routinely interact directly with customers including Laboratory Managers, Supervisors, and IT Administrators as well as external Laboratory Information System vendors and 3rd party middleware companies. Additional responsibilities will include:
• Assist in meeting business objectives.
• Pre-installation and installation support.
• Hospital enterprise IT and security.
• Laboratory Information System (LIS) interface communication.
• Network security and connectivity agreement.
• Customer specific workflow decisions that will determine system configuration.
• Implementation activities including software installation.
• Network setup.
• Application configuration.
• Performing verification and acceptance testing.
• Training of lab personnel.
• Post-implementation support activities (on-site and remote).
• Follow the company’s escalation process.
• Perform software upgrades.
• Attending meetings/conference calls.
• Comply with company quality/regulatory policy.
• Respond positively and appropriately to challenges with minimal assistance.
• Seek guidance from appropriate personnel if needed.
• Understand the implication of change, adapt quickly, and adjust appropriately.
• Develop a technical support network within the company to achieve results.

• BS Computing or Information Technology, or Engineering.

• Industry certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, MCP, Healthcare IT Technician, etc. or potential to obtain within six months.
• Cloud technologies: SaaS, DaaS, IaaS (including virtualization), etc.
• Business skills, including project management, and financial analysis (i.e. ROI, NPV, etc.) to determine impact and value of projects and innovations to business.
• Laboratory experience such as MT or MLT and training experience within a Healthcare environment.
