Location: Pierson, MI
Shift: 2nd shift, Monday – Friday
Compensation: $70K-$75K base salary plus an annual performance bonus. Total 1st Year ~ $80K-$85K+
Position Description: The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising a maintenance shop that is under the umbrella responsibility of a Maintenance Manager. The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor’s responsibilities include supervising a team or mechanic technicians responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs of a fleet; machinery that supports a post-collection facility; repair/maintenance of equipment that services the container shop; and providing direction to technicians to ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment such as diesel trucks and alternate fuel vehicles, containers, and other heavy duty equipment are performed in compliance with company safety and compliance standards, and with all federal and state regulations. The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning and scheduling repair work to ensure that all work is done in a safe and timely manner, reducing lost productivity.
A successful candidate will be a military/veteran candidate with hands-on maintenance experience, with significant direct leadership experience as a maintenance supervisor or direct leadership of similar industry or enlisted technicians. You must have basic experience maintaining electrical and mechanical systems in a demanding environment. Excellent decision-making, planning, and coordination is a must, along with strong organizational and effective communication skills.
