This role is ideal for candidates with strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills, industrial automation experience, and the ability to build strong customer relationships in fast-paced operational environments.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to various Pulp & Paper mills throughout the Northeast region
  • Perform preventive, proactive, and corrective maintenance on customer equipment and systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, electronic, and automation-related issues
  • Conduct calibration checks and system performance validations
  • Perform computer system backups and maintain accurate records of system modifications and changes
  • Provide technical training and guidance to mill personnel and customer employees
  • Utilize remote connectivity tools to diagnose and troubleshoot systems remotely
  • Maintain detailed documentation and service records of all work performed
  • Manage and maintain spare parts inventory at customer sites
  • Collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal support teams to ensure successful service execution
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Associate degree or military background in an electro-mechanical field required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electricity, electronics, computers, and Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex industrial equipment and automation systems
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to prioritize and manage daily and weekly customer support activities
  • Valid driver's license required

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Pulp & Paper industry experience
  • Experience supporting industrial automation systems and controls
  • Background in field service or customer-facing technical support roles
  • Experience with calibration, process control systems, PLCs, DCS, QCS, analyzers, or instrumentation systems
  • Military technical experience in electrical, mechanical, electronics, power generation, instrumentation, or industrial maintenance fields preferred
