Shift: 1st Shift - Monday - Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $55,000 – salaried exempt position.

Position Description: The primary focus will be on advancing energy systems through the operation of high-temperature furnaces in a laboratory environment. You will master the process of graphite production and characterization. Collaborate and conduct daily activities with the broader team by assisting with experiments, preparing samples, and shipping customer samples. You will be expected to produce meaningful laboratory results on focused energy systems initiatives. Other duties will include but not be limited to a variety of tasks such as material handling, material loading, packaging, technical logbook entries, light mechanical maintenance, and general housekeeping. You are responsible for the quality of work and appropriately resolving unusual operating conditions. Experience with general hand tools is required. Experience in a maintenance or manufacturing role is a plus. 50% of this job revolves around the safe operation of milling and furnace equipment to process battery-grade graphite. 30% of the job is assisting the energy systems team with experiments by operating a variety of lab equipment (rotary kiln, mills, furnace, etc.) 20% of the job is performing routine maintenance or machine set-up.
Requirements:
• Mechanically inclined and able to assist with routine equipment maintenance.
• Able to convey technical information effectively using oral and written communication.
