Position Details
Location: Albany, NY
Compensation: $60K - $80K annually (depending on experience)
Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 am start time with variable end time depending on production needs

Career Progression: This position is a stepping stone to one day move into the Plant Manager role

Position Description
As a Production Supervisor, you will manage and oversee a specific department and team within the production process. This will include, but is not limited to:
• Coordinate the team’s activities to accomplish the established production and safety goals.
• Manage and inspect the team’s output to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Train and coach associates to follow and maintain production SOPs.
• Maintain high employee morale and positive relationships.
• Address and manage absenteeism and employee performance.
• Teach safe work practices and good housekeeping procedures and see that they are adhered to.
• Recommend changes or improvement in methods, equipment, handling, or lay-out.
• Control scrap and waste.

Position Requirements
• The ideal candidate has a degree or continuing education certifications as well as 2+ years’ experience supervising others in a manufacturing setting.
• Skilled in developing, communicating, and maintaining positive interpersonal relationships with employees as well as all levels of management.
• Solid computer skills, to include data entry, Excel, and Word are also critical to success in this role as well as the demonstrated ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way while preserving a sense of urgency.
