Experience/Education:

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair large-bore marine diesel engines and propulsion systems
  • Perform MTU dyno acceptance testing and adjust engines to factory specifications
  • Conduct field service work on vessels, shipyards, and at customer facilities
  • Maintain detailed documentation of diagnostics, parts, service history, and reports
  • Represent the company on-site with professionalism and clear technical communication
  • Maintain an organized company vehicle and personal tool set
  • Mentor apprentices and uphold safety and quality standards in all tasks

Required Skills

Hoppe Technologies, located in Chicopee, Massachusetts, is currently recruiting to fill a CNC Programmer position with a focus on Aerospace, Defense and Space components and their associated requirements. Responsibilities of the CNC Programmer include, but are not limited to;

  • Member of engineering team and key contributor to New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Review and interpret product design information (design input), available 2D drawings, GD&T, 3D electronic models and other product specifications in order to develop and propose the most suitable machining/production process.
  • Consider and select all tooling and fixturing that will be required for the production. Assist with the design and participate in making of needed fixtures and set up components.
  • Run Vericut simulation software on designs in advance of production to detect errors, potential collisions, or programming inefficies.
  • Set up, operate and program multi-taskers and milling machines using Maztrol Conversational and/or G-Code with ability to use MasterCam.
  • Provide direct technical support to machinists in the machining departments.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Absolutely MUST have a minimum of three to five years of recent experience in a CNC Programmer role in a Machine Shop / Machining Company that supports the Aerospace, Defense, or Space markets.
  • Minimum high school diploma, preferably with a certificate or associates degree in machining.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience setting up, operating and programming CNC milling or multi-tasking machines.
  • Previous experience with Mazatrol conversational, G-Code EIA-ISO, Mastercam and / or Vericut a must. Proficient knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, and indicators.
  • Knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions.
  • Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines.
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment.

Reporting to the US General Manager, the Head of Supply Chain is responsible for developing and executing a global supply chain strategy that ensures operational excellence, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction across sourcing, procurement, logistics, and distribution functions. This executive role provides visionary leadership to cross-functional teams, driving innovation, resilience, and sustainability throughout the supply chain. Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain systems, ERP platforms, and analytics tools
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Experience in global manufacturing operations
  • Certification in supply chain management preferred (e.g., APICS, CSCP, CPSM)

The Quality / EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance systems and environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations. This role will report to the VP of Engineering and will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.




Responsibilities
Quality Management:
  • Develop and maintain ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
  • Lead internal and external audits; manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor product and process quality metrics; drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Manage document control and quality training programs.
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS):
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and hazardous materials documentation.
  • Lead emergency preparedness and response planning.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or 7+ years equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001, CQE) preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Quality Department, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in product testing, inspection, and quality audits.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools for identifying trends and discrepancies.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, inspection methods, and measurement techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of UL standards (UL 891, UL 1558, UL 67, UL 857, UL 1008, UL 62368/60950) preferred but not required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capability.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
