Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, we are seeking a highly competent Procurement Manager who will work in partnership with their peers across the company to ensure Best-in-Class performance on behalf of CEL and our customers. Managing a team of Buyer / Planners, the role will be directly responsible for providing cost effective and efficient management of our electrical switchgear components, assemblies, related materials and service requirements for customer projects.

The role ensures high-quality, cost-effective OTD of components and services that support the design, manufacture and delivery of CELs switchgear products, aligned with our procurement policies and strategy.

Developing and maintaining excellent supplier relationships, driving strategic sourcing initiatives, and continuously improving procurement performance, and acting as a point of escalation for any procurement issues is a critical aspect of the role. You will require a high degree of financial and commercial acumen with a comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain methodologies.

What You'll Be Doing:

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electrical and mechanical components e.g. circuit breakers, copper busbars, metal enclosures, MCCBs/ACBs and CTs.
  • Identify, evaluate and qualify suppliers based on technical capability, quality performance, cost competitiveness and delivery reliability.
  • Work with and utilise our SIOPS process to ensure procurement strategies i.e. demand planning and materials forecasting, match revenue budgets and adjust for movements in project deliverables.

The Field Service Technician (FST) supports customers with on-site service, technical support, and training. Responsibilities include:
  • Commissioning new equipment and performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of existing equipment
  • Providing telephone and on-site customer support
  • Preparing detailed Field Service Reports (FSRs) documenting work performed and equipment performance
  • Training at the Tulsa, OK home office, followed by on-the-job training (OJT) with experienced FSTs before autonomous work
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical service support on existing installations to ensure systems meet building codes and operate efficiently
  • Program and commission control systems and integrate them with building automation systems
  • Work with multiple control systems across different sites
  • Communicate directly with customers to resolve site-specific issues
  • Document service calls, including follow-up requirements
  • Replace failed parts, controllers, wiring, relays, and devices as needed
  • Maintain courteous and professional interactions with customers
  • Verify devices, panels, and annunciators of control projects
  • Ensure timely software backups for projects and software development
  • Complete timesheets, service work orders, and other required paperwork accurately and on time
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Strong electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical aptitude, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems such as AC/DC motors, industrial controls, compressors, backup generators, etc.
  • Ability to use volt meters, amp meters, oscilloscopes, and troubleshoot basic electric/electronic circuitry
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic diagrams
  • Working understanding of AC power circuitry (including breakers, multi-phase power, 120VAC)
  • Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces
  • Service-minded and customer-focused
