  • Provide instruction for advanced special operations, covert human intelligence, surveillance, and other similar programs.

United States Army | 2001 - 2010

Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha Commander | 2005 - 2010

  • Commander of a Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha, consisting of two Officers and 10 Noncommissioned Officers.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the detachment as a skilled Special Operations Force capable of worldwide deployment.
  • Responsible for training and executing special operations missions ranging from Direct Action and Special Reconnaissance to Foreign Internal Defense and Unconventional Warfare, including Mountain Operations, specialized military/environment skills and cultural/linguistic capabilities.

  • Personnel and Administration Officer for an Infantry Rifle battalion and task force of approximately 2,000 personnel. Principal Staff Assistant to the Battalion Commander.
  • Exercise staff supervisor in matters pertaining to strength management, personnel qualifications and evaluations, personnel assignment, clearance, recruiting, retention, and Battalion administration.
  • Responsible for the overall supervision of the unit's Personnel Administration Center and its activities.
  • Served as Commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment.
  • Additional duties included: Battalion Safety Officer, Equal Opportunity Officer, Records Management Officer, and Retention Officer. Deployed to Iraq.

Company Executive Officer | 2003 - 2004

  • Second-in-command of a 130-man Air Assault Company.
  • Primarily responsible for the management and maintenance of $3M of organizational equipment.
  • Supervised and managed the maintenance of all company vehicles, communications equipment, nuclear, biological, and chemical equipment, weapons and night vision devices.
  • Responsible for the readiness, planning and execution of company deployments within 36 hours of notification to conduct combat operations worldwide. Resource manager and planner for the 130-man rifle company.
  • Additional duties included: Unit Movement Officer, Unit Supply Officer, Unit Awards Manager, and Unit Maintenance Officer. Deployed to Iraq.
