Electrical Supervisor, Construction Materials Producer and Leader in the Cement Market | 2018 - Present

  • Supervise E&I personnel responsible for performing maintenance on GE/Rockwell drives, a wide variety of level, pressure, and temperature indicating instruments, as well as low and medium voltage motors and power distribution equipment.

Electrician's Mate, United States Coast Guard | 1997 - 2018

  • Experienced with power distribution systems, diesel electric propulsion systems, deck machinery, oil, water, fuel, and sewage storage, transfer, and disposal systems. Also worked on power distribution switchboards, programmable logic controllers, and motor operated valves.
  • As a Calibration Specialist, conducted and analyzed vibration analysis (predictive maintenance) of pumps and motors. This allowed my team to schedule downtime for larger jobs prior to failure.
  • Responsible for keeping key electrical and electronic components online as an independent duty electrician at an isolated duty station. Received Coast Guard Achievement Medal.
  • As Logistics Supply Officer, based on blueprints and drawings, analyzed maintenance needs and procured parts. Most orders were over $150,000. Received and verified parts, repackaged for shipment and made sure they arrived at the repair facilities before the ship arrived. Responsible for maintenance needs of nine ice breaking ships.
  • Created work/watch schedules for up to 35 people at a time making sure that critical shipboard and shore side systems were monitored and maintained 24 hours a day.
  • Managed a 270,000-gallon jet fuel storage facility for military aircraft with three direct subordinates.
  • Created qualification standards for loading, transferring and dispensing jet fuel and provided training to 240 aviation equipment operators and flight crew personnel.

  • Selected as a member of the maintenance review board. Assisted in updating maintenance procedures for the Coast Guard's entire fleet of medium endurance ships. Increased the life expectancy of these vessels while reducing maintenance costs. Made recommendations to change both periodicity and procedures.
  • As Team Leader, scheduled and provided oversight for maintenance of four Coast Guard ships worth over $80 million. Responsible for supervision of five subordinates.
