Position Details:

Title: Field Service Technician II

Location: Baltimore, MD

Shift: Mon-Friday 1st shift, a standard work schedule will be set, although some jobs may require an earlier/later start or night scheduled work

Compensation: $25-$28/hr depending on qualifications and experience!

Travel: This is a field service position with regular travel (up to 70%) to customer service or installation projects. 10% - 25% overnight travel to support projects may be required. Gatekeeper will provide vehicle, lodging, company card and cover all associated travel costs.

Position Description:

As a Field Service Technician II, you will be responsible for training, quality control, in addition to trouble shooting and support while delivering an outstanding level of service and support essential to ensuring the satisfaction of our valued customers. The field service technician will work under the supervision of the Field Services Manager and guidance of Field Services Engineer. You will install, service and troubleshoot the Company's Cart Containment and other Systems. You will perform Preventive Maintenance of the Company’s Cart Containment and other Systems. A Field Service Technician II will also complete any service and repair work orders, primarily within your assigned areas as they arise.  There will be times that you also Assistance in the training of Field Services Technicians, ASP and Contractors.  It is imperative that you are able to travel up to 70% of the week, mostly driving, including overnights.  You will also be expected to work extremely flexible hours and weekends to complete installation, service and maintenance of the Company’s systems.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  You will need to excel in taking direction and following through on instructions.  You must be customer focused and a good problem solver while paying attention to detail and being efficient and highly organized. 

We require a valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and the ability to maintain a positive driving record throughout employment.  This position requires a minimum 3+ years of experience directly related to the installation of devices in a retail environment such as point of sale systems or security camera systems.  You should have a minimum 2 years of experience in electrical and low voltage devices, concrete cutting, bending, and running conduit, and running wires through walls and ceilings; and experience with power tools and scissor lifts.
