• Valid driver’s license required. Service Technicians drive to and from customer sites daily, averaging about 500 miles/week.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds, with most items weighing between 2 and 20 pounds.
• Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing wheeled vehicle equipment such as heavy equipment, forklifts, trucks, etc.
• Knowledge of repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, air and combustion engines, and diesel-gas-LP powered engines.
• Experience working in direct contact with customers on service-related activities.
• Field Service experience strongly preferred but not required.

Job Description

Orion Talent is helping a client hire a Maintenance + Repair Specialist in Fort Worth, TX.

Position Details: Maintenance + Repair Specialist: Inspect, pre-write all work orders, monitor, and control all aspects of equipment repair within specified repair shops.

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Pay: $60-65K + OT (during week or weekends)

Travel: This is a field-based position. You will report to the office each morning to pick up your company truck, then head out to visit location(s) as scheduled for that day. Your day will end by returning the truck to the office and heading home.

Duties and responsibilities

Inspect chassis, write work orders at specified Ft. Worth facilities.
Monitor and control M&R costs for chassis for same specified locations.
Monitor and control OOS equipment levels to include Repair Estimate Approval and Repair Limit Compliance.
Regular communications with logistics department with regards to equipment requirements.
Ensure company inspection/repair standards are communicated to vendors and adhered to on all equipment repairs.
Review work order input in M&R system daily and transmit work orders daily.
Discuss and resolve work order input discrepancy with M&R vendors.
Monitor and release any DVER/DVIR inspections that location is notified of.
Generate information for third party billing/damage recovery at all locations.
Ensure accruals are done accurately and in a timely manner each month.


Qualifications

Five years of experience in maintenance and repair.
Thorough knowledge of chassis or trailer repair.
Ability to work with internal and external customers.
Ability to travel 60% - 80% of weekly travel
