On-Site Field Service Engineer

In this role you will be responsible for the installation, service, troubleshooting and repair of complex electronic and electromechanical equipment. You will be trained to become an independent “product expert” on selected company product lines. You will be responsible for implementing detailed, complex customer installation plans for both reliability and process and qualification. You will also need to train customer personnel on advanced equipment operation, maintenance procedures and process related operations. You will provide onsite technical support for development and implementation of equipment and process applications. Some specific responsibilities include:



Complete on-site equipment installations or complex retrofits on equipment
Provide professional and courteous service to customers with a primary goal of complete customer satisfaction.
Assist customers and other personnel in identifying and repairing equipment related process problems.
Assist with performing onsite preventative maintenance, cleaning equipment as required and verify the operational quality of equipment.
Assist with performing start-up, warranty, paid service and service contract activities. Assist with performing hardware set-up on specified systems within established time frames.
Troubleshoot and correct process variations on systems. Diagnose sources of hardware or process
problems on equipment, facilities or wafers.
Participate in local customer meetings and communicates orally with customers in face-to-face, one-on-one settings, group settings and communicates professionally by email and telephone, as needed.
This position requires the use of company hired vehicles on company business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving privileges


Shifts:

12-hr Night shift: 7p – 7a on a 4-on, 3-off, 3-on, 4-off schedule.
12-hr Day shift: 7a – 7p on a 4-on, 3-off, 3-on, 4-off schedule.


Locations: Hillsboro, OR (suburb of Portland) and Albuquerque, NM

Position Description: Field Service Representative
Ideal candidates will have experience troubleshooting basic to intermediate level electrical, mechanical, and optical problems on complex semiconductor equipment or similar systems/technologies. Members of the field service team are routinely tasked with interfacing with end-user customers to determine their needs and efficiently determine a path to resolution with minimal supervision.

Requirements:
• Works on day-to-day issues with the designated sales group representative to support regional or national customer base issues as called upon.
• This daily activity requires integration of sales objectives and development of sales opportunities.
• Installs, integrates, diagnosis, repairs and maintains company products at customer sites; performs on-site and/or in-house repairs of company equipment.

Position Description: Equipment Engineer

Equipment Engineers are integral members of Wafer Fab operations in that they run their Dry Plasma Etch, PVD/Evap and Implant Equipment that deliver high quality, efficient manufacturing and advanced technologies that produce innovative RF products and solutions to industry-leading wireless device and network customers.

Responsibilities – Relying on strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and process improvement skills, you will:
• Serve as the equipment tool owner in either dry plasma etch, metal deposition (PVD and Evaporators), or Implant Identify problems and provide solutions for equipment development and maturity on assigned tools
• Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
• Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for the equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process
• Interface with vendors and contractors for the new tool installation, upgrades, and qualification
• Maintain current records on equipment manufactures’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues
• Define and write preventative maintenance schedules
• Training and support Maintenance Technician



Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• 4+ years technical experience working as an engineer desired
• Strong technical capacity, including knowledge of pneumatics, robotics, electronics, etc.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles, practices, and techniques as they relate to equipment engineering and maintenance is a plus!
• Experience with CAD software strongly preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across functions
• Strong time management skills to enable on-time completion
• Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to work off-hours as needed


Position Details:

Location: Hillsboro, OR -- (26 miles west of Portland!)

Salary: 95k-120k+ (depending on experience) + 4% target bonus, + relocation assistance and $10,000 sign-on bonus!
