Position Description:
Company is looking to add Field Service Technical Coordinator to their growing team in Roanoke, VA!

Responsible for performing job evaluations of ongoing jobs to make sure they are progressing on time and without issues. Assist departmental manager in responding to customer service and warranty issues, scheduling, field service work, ordering job materials, maintain records, complete quotes.

Respond to customer service issues raised by customer.
Provide field instructions and statements of work to field service personnel for service and warranty issues.
Order and ship materials for field and warranty work.
Review the progress of a project and determine if it’s on schedule.
If project is behind schedule, determine resolution to complete on time.
Report back to the Field Service Manager on how projects are progressing and suggest improvements.
Maintain spreadsheets related to field service and warranty jobs.
Maintain individual job records, materials lists, statistical reports, and other reports as necessary.
Review Engineering drawings, control prints, and materials lists for use in field.
Perform other tasks as required by manager to support completion/resolution of all field or warranty work.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or Equivalent (GED).
• Minimum of five years electrical
• Minimum of five years electrical trouble-shooting
• Minimum of five years basic carpentry
• Ability to operate a computer and associated software to include MS Office programs.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints with multiple projects at the same time, including any of your own.
• Ability to oversee projects, checking for accuracy, efficiency, quality of work and timeliness of progress.
• Ability to work professionally with multiple and varied personality types
• Ability to solve problems in a variety of situations with limited standardization.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively present information to customers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Field Service Techs verbally or in writing.

Title: Field Service Technician I, II, III
Location: Roanoke, VA max region 1 hr away
Shift: 10-hour days based on customer site and business requirements. Must be open to working off-shift hours, and possible 7-day weeks.
Compensation: $20-$38/hr + $59 perdiem depending on qualifications and experience! + OT and company bonus eligible!

Position Description:
Field Service Technicians travel to customer sites as a company representative to perform installation and repairs per customer requests and/or warranty on company buildings and structures.
• Interpret engineering drawings, electrical control prints, and schematics.
• Experience/Knowledge in carpentry and electrical preferred.
• Hook up power and controls according to prints/schematics
• Be familiar with framing construction standards.
• Operate all power equipment as required to complete required work (e.g. Battery operated hand tools, power saws, crimping tools, scarifier, and air tools including sprayers)
• Install air conditioning equipment, cable ladder systems, hoods, battery systems, waveguide entries, halo ground systems and other types of grounding systems.
• Hang and/or repair doors and locks as required, to include installing hardware, assembling doors, and/or painting doors.
• Complete framing, sheathing, trim work and floor tile installation, as required.
• Make minor concrete repairs and apply concrete buildings coatings and finishes.
• Other duties as assigned by manager to complete repairs according to customer agreements and/or requirements.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or Equivalent (GED).
• 1-3 years’ experience, Basic carpentry and electrical preferred
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring standards and the National Electric Codes
• Ability to solve problems (trouble shoot issues) in a variety of situations with limited standardization.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively present and handle information to customers

At least 4 years’ experience as a section lead or supervisor.
At least 2 years of lab budget management.
Knowledge of MS Office applications.
