• Applies learning, knowledge, skills, and company policies to a wide range of tasks pertaining to IT, electrical and mechanical equipment, controls, and operating systems
• Leads, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment; records readings and adjusts where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers.
• Provide high level computer hardware and software configuration support. Install suite wall, cage material, ladder rack, fiber tray, cabinets, cabling and customer equipment based on documentation provided by provisioning documentation and established Data Center Operation procedures.

About the Role

RIX Industries is seeking a Customer-Dedicated Service Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing compressors, gas generators, and related systems at a designated customer site.

In this role, you will serve as the primary on-site representative of RIX Industries, ensuring equipment reliability, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety and quality standards. You will support mission-critical systems across Marine, Aerospace, Land, Energy, Industrial, Medical, and Critical Infrastructure markets.

This position is ideal for a hands-on technician who thrives in field service environments, enjoys troubleshooting complex mechanical systems, and can effectively interface with customers and internal teams.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary liaison between RIX Industries and the customer at the assigned site
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of compressors, gas generators, and associated equipment
• Overhaul and repair components in both field and on-site environments to meet customer requirements
• Ensure timely, high-quality service delivery aligned with customer expectations
• Maintain and manage RIX-owned tools, equipment, and consumables
• Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership of supply needs
• Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe working environment
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and customer stakeholders
• Support additional assignments as directed in the best interest of the business

Must-Have Skills and Experience

• Technical school degree or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience

• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and basic software systems

This person will be responsible for installing and servicing parking access control, vehicle entry systems, and building access control systems in a geographic area that includes Southeastern, Central, and Western Virginia. Equipment includes parking gates, ticket dispensers, license plate recognition cameras, facility management software, slide and swing gate operators, card readers, and telephone entry systems, as well as integration of these systems into existing networks.
