• Identify, qualify, and capture new Naval business opportunities aligned with RIX’s strategic growth initiatives
• Build, maintain, and deepen relationships across the Naval ecosystem (Navy customers, program offices/PEOs, shipyards, primes, integrators)
• Monitor Naval market activity, competitive shifts, funding cycles, and emerging technologies; recommend strategies and product directions to senior leadership
• Lead proposal efforts from RFI/RFP to submission, Q&A, award, and post-award debrief
• Provide detailed bookings forecasts, capture strategies, and resource requirements
• Serve as the champion of RIX’s Customer Partnership strategy using VOC best practices

• Represent RIX at Marine Machinery Association events, tradeshows, and defense industry forums
• Deliver weekly pursuit updates, capture progress, and market intelligence to the CSO

• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field)

Position Summary

The Field Service Technician is primarily responsible for the offsite maintenance and repair of RIX products. The Field Service Technician will be required to travel both domestic and International for undefined periods of time. Will perform in-house assembly work when not on a service job.

Responsibilities

MUST HAVE

• Degree from technical school or equivalent combination of education and work experience. One-year experience as a mechanical assembler or mechanic in any related field.

• Ability to read and understand structural drawing, schematics, and operating manuals. Excellent communication skills required for customer interface and reporting. Must be competent in all aspects of troubleshooting and repair of RIX Industries 5R5, Star and other models of Compressors and LaBarge Controllers.

• Ability to perform calculations such as percentages, ratios, and fractions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.

Ability to perform carpentry-type duties to include use of manual tools, power tools, and building of containments.

Read and interpret documents as necessary, such as operating and maintenance manuals, safety rules and regulations, procedure manuals, etc.

May prepare molds and templates for fabrication of hull treatment.

Maintain a clean work environment where coatings work is being performed.

Demonstrate comprehension of complex shapes and the ability to understand symmetrical gaps both parallel and perpendicular to the ships surface shape.

Mixing of different types of solvent and adhesive materials.

Use of troweling tools and adhesives, and work with equipment specific to hull treatment installations

Understanding fairness and flushness with regards to surface preparation.

Follow all company rules and policies.

Marine Electrician I

Continental Tide has an need for a Marine Electrician I who will be a key support to our Fleet Services Group. The location of this position is in Norfolk, VA. The Marine Electrician will be responsible for supporting shipboard operations by leveraging practical shipboard experience with HM&E systems and equipment.

Essential duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Practical shipboard experience with HM&E systems and equipment.
• Inspecting, repairing, installing, modifying, and maintaining electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with shipboard electronic and electrical system and equipment.
• Setting up, checking, and correcting operational and experimental electrical machinery, circuitry, and equipment while adhering to pre-established guidelines and engineering specifications.
• Interpret electrical schematics and installation drawings.
• Perform on-site field service for system grooms and checkouts, minor repairs and system configuration validation.
• Perform and/or verify mechanical alignments.
• Technical expertise with power generation and transmission equipment, and motorized valve actuators.
• Assembles multi-pin connectors and fiber optic connections.

Experience and Skills:

• Must possess a high school, trade, or vocational school degree.
• 1-3 years of direct experience in ship repair and installation of Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret ship installation drawings, installation specifications and NAVSEA Standard Items is preferred.

• NDT inspector level II will perform VT, UT, MT and PT inspections on surface ship and submarine structure. Required to perform miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor.
