Production Supervisor

Our client is seeking a qualified Production Supervisor to lead and support production efforts within the Marine Services Division (MSD). This role oversees skilled trades personnel in a production environment and ensures full compliance with safety, quality, technical, and housekeeping standards, including SUBSAFE and other industry requirements. The position requires strong leadership, problem-solving ability, and coordination of production activities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Frequent overtime and travel (up to 75% annually) may be required.

· Plan, assign, and direct daily production activities for skilled trades personnel
· Provide training, leadership, and ongoing performance feedback to team members
· Ensure compliance with federal and company safety procedures, including proper PPE usage
· Identify production issues, remove roadblocks, and implement effective solutions
· Interpret technical drawings, schematics, MIL-STDs, and SUBSAFE requirements
· Coordinate schedules, prioritize tasks, and monitor production progress to meet deadlines
· Communicate production status and updates to customers and Project/Program Managers
· Review, audit, and verify completion of work packages and required documentation
· Monitor and approve team timesheets and ensure accurate submission
· Ensure proper equipment maintenance and tool accountability
· Conduct pre- and post-shift job briefs
· Track material and tool needs and escalate delays as necessary
· Support continuous improvement of production processes
· Perform other duties as assigned

· Associate’s degree in a mechanical discipline; OR high school diploma/GED plus related apprenticeship; OR minimum four years U.S. military experience (Navy preferred)
· Minimum 2 years leadership experience in an industrial environment (shipbuilding preferred)
· Minimum 6 years hands-on experience installing, maintaining, or repairing Navy vessel systems
· U.S. citizenship (no dual citizenship)
· Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
· Strong knowledge of naval ship repair practices and procedures
· Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
· Effective communication and leadership skills
· Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail

· Six years of SUBSAFE / Level I material work experience
· Experience maintaining and testing submarine structural closures (hatches, watertight doors)
· Experience with submarine hull systems, mechanical/electrical systems, torpedo room, VLS, mast/antenna systems, or similar
· Experience supervising multiple skilled trades
· Knowledge of naval weapons or launcher systems

Working Conditions
Primarily shipboard work (day and occasional night shifts) with exposure to high noise levels, heat/cold extremes, humidity, dust, fumes, moving equipment, and confined or elevated workspaces.
