Job Description

Position Details:
• Title: Service Technician
• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00PM with frequent overtime available for Field Technicians.
• Compensation: Starting wage of $27.75-$39.00/hr. based on skills/experience. Additional specialty incentives available.
• Company truck (Field Technicians) and computer/tablet.
• Benefits: Company offers an industry leading benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, FSA, wellness program, 401K match program, PTO, and multiple other fringe benefits.
• Travel: Field Technicians-90% (Travel primarily occurs in Mansfield, Ashtabula, Norwalk, & occasional travel to Columbus)

Position Description:
Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing issues and performing standard general repairs on drive-train components, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on company and/or customers’ heavy equipment across shop and field settings while adhering to all safety regulations and contributing to a positive work environment. Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and locate mechanical deficiencies on Heavy Equipment and develop logical conclusions and determine a repair solution based on education and experience. Source and order parts as needed and Perform repair of mobile equipment in a field environment without supervision. May need to perform welding and brazing, fabricate and modify parts, equipment, and miscellaneous structures as needed. Must be decisive and able to recognize and support the organization’s goals and priorities.

Requirements:
• General knowledge, ability to diagnose, and capable of repairing of complex hydraulic, electrical, and drive-train systems
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read, analyze and interrupt technical information from general hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Technical school graduate or experience with Volvo construction equipment preferred
• Must possess and maintain acceptable safe driving record and pass DOT Medical Certification
