  • Guide internal standards, templates, and QA/QC processes for data center design - conduct quality assurance reviews and technical peer checks for complex projects.
  • Receive project assignments from Principals, Senior Associates, or Project Managers and coordinate with other discipline leads to ensure cohesive, integrated design delivery.
  • Support the firm’s growth in the data center market by participating in client meetings, contributing to proposal development, and representing company in industry discussions.
  • Maintain consistent communication with team members and other disciplines. Provide clear direction and technical guidance to ensure project alignment with firm standards.
  • Take full responsibility for the technical quality and completeness of design work.
  • Review design documentation for technical accuracy, constructability, and coordination - ensure adherence to company standards and project schedules. Proactively identify design risks and implements corrective measures to limit firm liability.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration
  • Tier design experience and a demonstrated history of technical excellence across diverse data center types, including enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale environments.
  • Proficiency in Revit is required, with working familiarity in other electrical design tools preferred.
  •  A deep understanding of modern data center technologies, redundancy strategies, and sustainable design practices is essential.
  • The ability to effectively supervise design production, maintain equipment access, and engage in person with project teams and clients are critical to success.
  • Initiative, follow-through, and a strong sense of professional responsibility - exhibits consistent work habits and a proactive approach to solving complex design challenges. Willingness to contribute beyond assigned duties to achieve project and firm objectives.
  • Enthusiasm for data center design and a commitment to technical excellence.

Job Description

Self-motivated engineer and leader who executes building systems commissioning on a variety mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for data centers
  • Perform all aspects of the commissioning of mechanical, electrical and control systems for commercial and
    institutional buildings.
  • Perform commissioning design reviews and comment.
  • Review submittal documents.
  • Prepare pre-functional and functional forms, review forms after completion.
  • Develop commissioning requirements/plans including commissioning project specifications.
  • Develop and/or review systems manuals.
  • Assist with writing and assembly of commissioning reports.
  • Take an active role in business development and expansion.
  • Maintain strong client relationships.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong people skills.
Location: Work Remote OR live on site (Fayetteville GA, Cedar Rapids IA, South Bend IN, Wilkes-Barre PA)
Schedule: 75% Travel if not living near one of the locations above.


Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Develop and review proposals and field engineers’ reports.
  • Schedule and coordinate technicians’ work with customers.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Industrial Service Industry.
  • Strong communication, supervisory, organizational, and management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, internet research, and operating computer-controlled test equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, peers, subordinates, and management, both verbally and in writing.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Willing to travel occasionally for field region coverage and company meetings.
